    What are you?

meat meat meat...........I am not a rabbit..................animals eat salad and green stuff....I eat animals......it's called the food chain......if I was meant to eat salad, god wouldnt have invented animals. I'm with you BOF!!!!!!
  2. Not so sure either that Milner would come if we got SWP as well Where is Laursen? And surely we'd want different options up front, they are all light weight guys physcially you have mentioned out of the four strikers, which is not really in keeping with MON style. Think we need a mix there. Luke Young maybe an option at right back
  3. what about getting some proven Premiership quality, I'm not always so overjoyed about getting foreigners in. Rather pay more premium for more proven in the Premiership because it's a different type of football we play in this league.....I mean Crespo, Veron, Kluivert.....all great players before they came here but have really flopped here......I'm not interested in the Darren Bents of this world, there must be other proven talents. I like us to build a real solid base before we start thinking of a number of extravegent players. One or two big stars yes, to bring in marketable revenue but we are still a mid table team and we need to strengthen the squad with better quality than we have then we can have these flair players. Look at West Ham, barely average team of donkeys, brought in two world class players who will struggle at least at the beginning.....expectation so high, too much pressure, too much of a gap between the other players both on and off the pitch, both in technique and salary, can only cause problems. I want fast growth of this club but not too rapid otherwise we'll trip over our own feet....MON is the man and will be wise I think
  4. that was for PB.... Just surprised there is nothing at all from his camp, he must be having influence on all this
  5. According to TT RL's jet left Luton Airport earlier this morning seems a bit strange, as if he's waited till saturday morning, so doesnt have to worry the LSE, so leaves the proposal today so the board (doug) can mull it over before doing something with it on monday......... ok I'm hoping
  6. yeah Doug kept on but in what capacity, president, board member....doesnt mean he'll have much or any power but he keeps in touch with the club. I think he realises he wont have the control he does now.....but as president he can do stuff like he did yesterday which he loves, just means he doesnt make the decisions
  7. apparently Phil Mepham actually pinpointed him not to come in, i.e. he was singled out rather than security being told the general public cant come in. I know the GP cant go to these things but just the fact he was singled out. I'm not saying he should or shouldnt be allowed, but just the fear Factor (pardon the pun) of letting somebody in that has issues with the Board, and unusually it's not a press member
  8. No-one would make a bid that didnt, and we have already recieved a number of indicative bids that do I'm not sure that is entirely so - if it is then surely Randy would have made his bid a firm one last week - regardless of how 'rude' Doug was. If Randy's indicative bid ticked all the boxes then why walk away? and remember this is not like buying a chocolate bar from a sweety shop, it's a lot more compex than that. He can't just whip out his cheque book and buy us.....things have to be put in place, things have to be done properly, give the guy a chance
  9. same language as dougie talks then!

  12. Surely life without ellis can't be worse? Aside from the Leeds reference he keeps making most other clubs of our size do alright, it was only because risdale overspent that caused the problem. They say grass is not always greener on the other side, but in our case we have to see that for ourselves because IMO a large amount of Villa fans are disillusioned by the state of the club. So if the grass isn't greener then in hindsight we may reflect on Ellis being wise but if as we feel that it is greener then at least better times ahead. The club just seems to be in a coma at the moment, living, surviving, nothing happening waiting to get worse and die off or something to save us. I have no expectations of the future for the Villa, just want some life back in the Villa to be honest. At this moment, I just want to be proud of my team (not talking of winning trophies or CL football) just to walk away from Villa Park or see them in highlights and be proud that they are my team. I'll live and die a Villa fan, I'm not expecting the world just would like to be proud of them..........
  13. and that option wasnt there
  14. I haven't judged because the think it's only a good deal if we have a ready replacement i.e. Baros....but please sign Baros first...just in case.....we could have tried playing Daruis on the wing though, that would've been my only criticism. If we did sign Baros then DV would only be back up, last ten minutes of the game because of his pace but as a winger, he might have more impact....too late now I think.
  15. To be transfer listed in january (hoping), I agree with ianrob and Risso, potential and potential for 10 years and never lived up to it and yet he mouths off and pretends to be a big player for the club and doesn't deliver the goods. I agree like Hitz was a few great goals but no impact otherwise and when we are under the cosh he's no help.
  16. Why can't we just have both of them!!!!!! We are unlikely to get anybody better because the sheer fact it that we wont pay the money, wages and we are not the most attractive club so even that's not a pull to players......the welsh git has attitude and pace, and aside from Darius we have very little pace in our team and more importantly we have no nastiness......
