  1. Nowt our end Julie, and believe me we would know. Just like you knew Lambert was staying......whoops!
  2. Oh Alan Wright, don't know why I just didnt like him and was so glad when he was no longer with us. I know I'm in the minority on this one, but I always groaned when his name was on the starting list.
  3. Has to be Macca! But I loved watching Yorkie, great affinity with the club just unfortunate the way he left. But brought for peanuts and sold for good money. Have to agree with the above poster around Barry as well
  4. It's a great idea, unfortunately footballers still control the game. Unless all clubs do the same, then if you offer performance based contracts we won't get players as other clubs will just pay higher fixed weekly pay than us.
  5. And why the hell would they agree to that??? I wouldn't and I'm sure you wouldn't if your new boss asked you.
  6. I agree, I enjoyed watching MON Villa teams so if it's similar then bring it on.
  7. Backs up what I've said but thanks for the torrent of abuse Oh & Trent yeah typo I meant Daniel not Dean Your still serious? I cannot tell sorry.. he must be on the wind up again Looks to me that K Mac just wants to try management from everything I've read
  8. Exactly what I was about to say give or take
  9. Initially it was exciting looking for a new manager especially as McLeish was gone. I'm bored of it now, I don't care who it is as long as I get my love for watching the Villa back. I will never not love the Villa but watching them last season was awful. So whoever is the new manager is, if they bring back that then I will be happy. To be honest I don't even have a preference of the names that have been touted. Nobody has jumped to my number 1 on my list but there are a few that are reasonably exciting but also some duds.
  10. and SMS, tweet, facebook or whatever other form of when substitutions should happen during a game...lol
  11. yep agree, some entertainment and above 50 points
  12. Sorry to hear that as its nice to see actual information rather than just the usual extreme views, arguments and threads going nowhere that has been happening recently
  13. Now you know how the rest of us feel when reading your posts in this topic. Haha
  14. There's not even half an hour between these two posts. Are you bipolar? To be fair that's how I feel at the moment, one minute I'm convinced there is no way he could stay but then another minute dread sets in and think 'well we did hire him in the first place, with him having a similar record previously'.........I need help or next week to come earlier and that message that he's gone somehow happens.....
  15. I disagree, I think we should hammer more nails in the coffin to make sure he goes. Until he's gone there should be no resting.....thinking he's gone is different to him going and being complacent about that could mean he stays next season. Highly doubtful I know but I'm not prepared to take the risk.
  16. That's a nice belief to have and looks like McLeish agrees Still the problem that McLeish didn't get the best out of the players he had at his disposal that were fit for each game.
  17. Heard Kyle Walker has a broken toe and has taken an injection and is playing........Gabby, how is your bruised rib, hope it doesn't hurt too much sitting down......
  18. Just have this bad feeling that Hutton will give a penalty away today because of Bale.....no idea why! Because he is A) shit A thug C) Reckless Or D) All of the above Haha yeah my subconscious is probably thinking 'D' hence the feeling.....
  19. Just have this bad feeling that Hutton will give a penalty away today because of Bale.....no idea why!
  20. You are still assuming its a definite that McLeish is going! Well that's fine but some of us still aren't 100% sure it's a locked. As with signing players using the ITSOTP....I'm, until he's gone I'm not resting. I say fair dues to these guys for doing this and would argue you are the stupid one for counting your chickens before they've hatched. I'd rather extra nails in the coffin rather than becoming complacent. Good on these guys for putting their money where their mouth is.......
  21. That is absolutely brilliant and money well spent!! That is awesome!
  22. Difference being the first two managers still achieved top ten finishes in the league
  23. Have we ever hounded a manager out before? How do you think the media is going to protray the sacking of McLeish after the demonstration on Sunday? McLeish is going to get the sympathy vote rather than people looking at the real reasons why he was sacked. Its just giving McLeish the excuse he needs and it might very well influence Lerner to keep McLeish for another season by not pandering to the wishes of the fans. It also might influence other managers in deciding not to come to our club. So many reasons why we shouldn't protest and to have faith in our chairman to do the right thing at the end of the season. This protest could badly backfire on us. I disagree entirely - sitting back and hoping for something to happen is far worse. If you don't display the fact that you want McLeish out publicly, then it'll be assumed that you don't have a problem with it. It's like people who don't vote and then complain about the state of a country - totally hypocritical. All fair points but Lerner will already know how the fans feel about McLeish. It goes right back to when he was first appointed and it has gone downhill from there with the team's results. Performances and results just haven't been acceptable and thats what any chairman will judge his manager on, not the fact that the fans have decided to protest! so why has it taken so long to get rid of McLeish, why did he appoint him when he knew fans feelings, why didn't McLeish go earlier in the season or ten games ago or after the Bolton match??? Until he's gone I will still have my doubts that Lerner will let him go because of the reasons above......everything points to him going but everything pointed to him not being hired but Lerner hired him.
