Thing is, the dire football can't exactly be making us an attractive prospect for potential buyers. Unless we can start showing some potential for improvement I can't anyone wanting to blow one hundred million on us. I think the opposite to be honest. We are comparatively cheap to other clubs and a slight change or improvement and us Villa fans will worship the new owners.....win,win. A club that was doing ok and mid range spending would need more for owners to feel appreciated. Us fans are at our lowest and will cling on to any good news or improvement.

251k for CEO of Villa, that is a paltry amount for that role. I'd always love to be CEO of the Villa, as I would never be fortunate to be an owner. Hypothetically this is the peak I could probably attain and through my love of Villa it would mean I would do it for nothing but for a CEO of the size/kind of company we are and the attention we get, if I wasn't a Villa fan I wouldn't touch it.

All I care about is what happens in our defensive third and what happens in the attacking third. Hoofing or tapping about to get into those areas doesn't bother me, it's what we do in those areas. Possession to me is a not a great stat, it's what you do when you have possession that counts which the stat doesn't tell, at least possession in areas gives a little more information on the game.

Does anybody have possession stats in each of the thirds of the pitch? I know we are having more possession and passing but it's definitely not in the right areas is it? It's more in the defensive area and lower midfield areas. Need a change at this club.

Just seen Lambert's post match on sky online and the guy is delusional, he's delighted with the way we performed. We are playing slightly better but delighted, is he kidding?!?! 3 shots on target, last third play is not good enough, our creativity is woeful. His interview was embarrassing...

I don't think we need anyon if Delph doesn't leave. In defense we have too many good CB's, our midfield is ok, and then we have Benteke with Kozak getting back to shape. Of course you can always improve, and we could, but I don't think we NEED to. i think this is crazy, how many goals have we scored? Our creativity is awful. Without doubt we NEED to improve, we need something to provide Benteke with chances

Don't know who we would sign instead but if it's 7-8m for him, given he's not offering much different to what we have and given we are unlikely to have much money to spend I'd rather not sign him permanently if that's the thinking by Lambert

I'm surprised how the tone has changed so much so quickly on here. We as fans really look at the short term and it really is about the last game (last few games) about how we judge the manager. A few bad results and we want him out, a few good results and he's changed his philosophy and finally getting it.

Without doubt yes. Agree with some of the others that the football we want, the league we want and the club we want died decades ago so moving to the modern day of soulless clubs is upon us so we may as well join rather than playing third fiddle to the rest, dire football and every weekend being depressing.

Good result, some good play, still of the opinion Lambert needs to go. Took me a long time and assessment to move into the Lambert out camp and even in the dark days I was still pro but on the balance of games and one good result against bottom of the table I'm a happy man today but still think time for Lambert to leave.

As a compromise I could see "Dafabet Holte End" but wouldn't want the "Dafabet End"

Still have to say Lambert needs to be fired and that's following a win. That was awful,pathetic and dire performance and due to a quality Benteke goal and shocking final third play by Palace we won. I am delighted with the win and will go and enjoy that now but geez it just shows how poor we are and not just taking this game into my thinking but this season, the last couple of seasons.....on that basis Lambert needs to go because we wont always be that fortunate in the future.
