Hated the booing of Warnock after the OG. I wonder if the players are more nervy at home because, as others have said, one stray pass and the audible sighs and moans go out - the away games are much better as we really back the team. How different was the seond half last night - was this because we got behind the team or was it because they gave us something to get behind. Hmm it's a conundrum. On another note, VP has to be the worst in the Prem for pre-match build up.

I'd fogotten all about Secret bars - loved them. Also, used to like Cadbury's Country Style. I just LOVE that 70's site that Mike linked - storing it in my favourites for a good old browse later!

I made a decision not to go to this as I'm trying to economise a bit and it was on TV etc etc (thought we'd get beaten too but not so sure now) - this was BEFORE I knew about the free coaches but I stuck by my decision as I will go later when we play them in the PL . Sunday will be the first game (home or away) I've missed all season and probably last season too and do you know what, now the time is nearing, I am ABSOLUTELY GUTTED that I'm not going - the free coaches are the place to be - the atmosphere should be greatl I'll certainly think twice about not going to a game again as I now KNOW that I just can't stand not going! I'll have to try cutting down on food and other such necessities instead.

The people who were in the standing area at Bristol Rovers didn't make any more noise than those of us in the seated stand . I guess a momentum would build though. Personally I wouldn't want to stand at home games, as well as away, but if others do, then as long as it doesnt' affect me (which it wouldn't as I am in an Upper stand) then that's fine - as long as it IS safe.

I think the Nike stuff has been crap to be honest. The sizes are awful ! We need more stuff for women in the store too.

It was funny when Robbie Keane went on a run with the ball, and looked up to see who was running with him so he could pass - only to see . . . no-one. Ha ha, welcome to Villa Robbie!!!

Thing is though about the game being called off at Swansea, what about those of us who had forked out probably £60 in petrol to go -and others who had gone for the weekend? Would the clubs have refunded that? (I'm not meaning to be insensitive here, just making a point)

None of the other linked names at the time seem to be doing very well though - Sven and McLaren sacked from Championship clubs, Martinez - down at the foot of the table and Jol - not doing brilliant things with Fulham either.

This is just so so sad. I was only looking (before I heard) at Rogues Gallery thred - early pages and Paddy was on there. Such a vibrant handsome young man - what a tragic waste. I was always full of admiration for the way he was handling his treatment. Tragic

I actually feel sorry to Eck. I think he is a genuine, good man who seems to be really PROUD to be managing us and I am behind him and think he should be given a fair chance. I do feel he has been dealt a marked card though and I am now starting to think that maybe it would be best if he did go, sooner rather than later, because there are a certain section of Villa fans that will NEVER accept him and maybe we should try and get a manager who we can all get behind? (Would that ever happen??) I just feel it's all a great, great shame.

Surely whoever that Chris Woods belongs to will be recalled at the end of his current loan spell? (PLEASE!!!!)

What's with all this standing by the side of the pitch discussing the game at half time and the end now? How stupid do they look - esp last night with brollies in the pouring rain - why can't they sit in a studio as normal?
