His agent, Eris Kismet, has 5 players on his books. Considering the others are Sinan Bolat, Mounir El Hamdaoui, Jordan Remacle and Domenico Bruzzese you can see why he might think Benteke is his meal ticket and getting a slice of a transfer fee / signing on bonus / big new wages is his only real chance of earning big money this summer. I hope someone points out to Benteke that him making a move at this point would be far more beneficial (and much lower risk) to his agent than it would be to himself and so he might want to make this decision on his own.

You should push yourself to an extent, but not at the expense of technique. Any rep where your form isn't at least pretty good should be treated as a failure. Don't progress the weight if you failed a single rep of any of your predetermined sets.
