Exactly. If he was going to take strides the size of Villa to Pool up the footballing ladder he'd need to make about 5 moves before he reached the level he'll peak at.

I've no doubt he will bypass him at some point (hopefully so will Luna ) but I don't think he's ahead of him atm.

Alberto Moreno played every minute of Spain U21 first 2 group games and both knockout games (sat out final group game because they'd already qualified). Spain beat everyone and he looked very good. No shame in that. Moreno is back up to Alba and very highly rated by Sevilla. I thought Arsenal's LB was backup to Alba. Either way Moreno is quality.

We've signed 5 players: 3 in their current Full International set ups, 2 U21s (for Spain and Holland no less) and all 23 or under and all for 7 figure sums. They've signed 5 players: 1 in their current international set up (reserve keeper for Ireland until Given is recalled), all but 1 23 or over and all for 0 figure sums.

While you haven't said he's currently world class you have said he's "top class", "potentially world class", would not look out of place in the CL, has world class crossing and set pieces, he's "best crosser in the Premier League", if you were Wenger you'd put a bid in for him, that "hatred" for him on VT would relegate Villa, that Crowley was joining Arsenal because of people's opinions of Bannan on here and that you wouldn't sell him for £20m.

Agree about his poor decision making being the main problem. Not sure I'd lay the praise of his technique on quite so thick though, but he's definitely competent.

Annual spankfest? Really, we got done heavily last season. It's never happened before and have a pretty good record against Chelsea in the PL era. I'm fairly sure we lost 7-1 there a few years ago. -
