Haye could knock out Price and Fury on the same night in the same ring and at the same time. That's probably the only conceivable way British HW boxing could generate international interest atm.

Silva v Weidman tonight. Weidman will be MW champ at some point, I've little doubt of that. He's seemed destined for the title in a similar way to how Jon Jones was as he looked too good for everyone at every level he fought. The question is whether or not he can do it tonight. If Silva wins it cements him almost completely unassailably as MW GOAT and he'd be unquestionably overall GOAT (although it's nowhere near as unthinkable that that title could be taken from him in the coming years). I remember ADCC 2009 when there was a fair amount of buzz about him (not by name but as "A Matt Serra purple belt") because he was a qualifier who won two matches as well as taking Galvao to a close points decision. That was with less than a year of BJJ (but with an impressive wrestling pedigree) and not only that, his focus was already on MMA rather than sub grappling! He's a sensation and I think he'll win tonight. Probably points but he's that good IMO he might force a stoppage. Roger v Kennedy and Frankie Edgar v Oliveira as well. Should be an exciting card.

The Summer X Games. My oldest group of friends have really grown apart (friends from about 4-5 years old) to the point where we have almost nothing in common but last weekend we (5 of us) got together for a BBQ to watch some of the X Games. We used to watch it together from when we were 8 or 9 and go and skate the shit out of any curb, bench or small set of stairs that dared to cross our path. Only one of us still skates (not me) which is a bit sad but it brought back some of those nostalgagasmic childhood memories.

I was under the impression that people didn't like him because he pulled those stupid **** faces and seemed to feign injury a bit. Do people really hold it against a Jock for supporting England's opponents? I happily support everyone I don't like's opponents in everything and expect no less from anyone else. Either way it's hard to be a fan of tennis and not appreciate Murray's talent.

What's wrong with Draxler and the like? Are they not ambitious enough signings? In a way I agree, if we really want to push on we need a bit of experience as well. Rooney is looking for a new challenge and Cavani's release clause is well publicised. Maybe Hummels and Schweinsteiger if We're looking at the BL.

We should be focusing on Varane, Lucas Moura and El Sharaawy before we sign Draxler. Probably worth about £10m in total but their clubs might hold out for more like £12m.
