    Tedious

Tedious is an anagram of outside. Outside is where I think it's time to go.
  2. They were planned but cancelled on MON's say so. Something about wanting the bench to be uncomfortable.
  3. Those are the sorts of names I'd like to see, and Favre was my choice as well. I can't be sure that any of them would take the job, but I'm fairly certain that Lambert, if retained, will serve up a third year of crap football and results, so would be prepared to take that chance. I have no personal connection to Lambert and while I believe he would improve us if given time and enough investment (and luck with injuries) I would be happy with most of those listed above. The only problem is that most of them wouldn't see us a step up and moving would lose them the good will of the club they are currently doing well for. We have more expectation than transfer funds currently and as such we're not exactly an amazing proposition. Several managers have reportedly turned us down in recent seasons IIRC, Martinez and OGS the two that spring to mind. As mentioned Koeman would take the job, so would Bilic and probably Laudrup. Unfortunately those 3 have the biggest blotches on their CVs. To add another name in the Marcelo Bielsa would probably take the job as well.
  4. He would probably take the job IMO but his only attempts at managing clubs who aren't financially one of the very biggest fish in their pond have not gone great.
  5. Ronald Koeman. *awaits the inevitable "you can't be sure he'll do any better" responses* Appreciate you alone have answered the question. A very good manager, although, since he's about to guide Feyenoord to the Champions League I'm nor sure thats overly realistic. He'll be available in the Summer I think but he bombed hard at Valencia. I wouldn't be distraught with Koeman though.
  6. Who would people like to see take Lambert's place?
  7. I remember Hertha, when did Koln play in the CL? Doesn't matter Birmingham is slightly bigger than Cologne apparently? There are some big Russian cities which I doubt have. So it is. Cheating and looking it up: Minsk, Kharkiv, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara and Rostov on Don are all bigger than Brum and I don't think have been represented in the CL.

  9. As long as he sells to those lovely invest loads of money, make you a giant, PSG / Citeh type owners and not those want a piece of the limelight, change the clubs name / colours and appoint his son's friend as goalkeeper type managers. The only thing the Daily Mail sums up is that ogling at young children is acceptable as long as it's presented as news. Cologne?
  10. Relative to us Leeds are shit. Relative to them Wolves are shit. Relative to them Portsmouth are shit. Shitness is relative and we really don't have it so bad. That said, I am unhappy when our club isn't making progress or fulfilling it's potential. I feel the changes currently being made to our squad and that squad's wage structure are progress from where we previously were heading. I'm disappointed with how Bent has been cut so far adrift his transfer value is nearly £0 (maybe that wasn't such a bad thing considering his contribution at Fulham) but I think we're in a position where our squad is pretty much all improving for the next few years. 10 home defeats is **** appalling though, that shouldn't even happen to a relegated club. That shit needs to change.
  11. They only ping when they're sinking.
  12. I expect top 6 finishes to be honest Well that settles that then.
  13. The vast majority would still be singing for Delfouneso to come on if he was still on our bench instead of Blackpool's (or Coventry's or whatever bench he's currently on).
  14. It's absolute bullshit isn't it? For all the people that take the piss out of RAWK or Red Cafe, if people gave VillaTalk some serious attention we'd be a laughing stock. Trouble is, just like arguing with zealots or Conspiracy nuts there is no reasoning with them. The notion that AVFC is a "great club" is laughable, they look at "7 League titles" most of which won before indoor toilets became the norm and assume we should be winning the League. That pisses me off too. Just for the record. hy·per·bo·le [hahy-pur-buh-lee] Show IPA noun Rhetoric . 1. obvious and intentional exaggeration. 2. an extravagant statement or figure of speech not intended to be taken literally, as “to wait aneternity.”
  15. It's absolute bullshit isn't it? For all the people that take the piss out of RAWK or Red Cafe, if people gave VillaTalk some serious attention we'd be a laughing stock. The only positive of not being competitive or successful. Nobody notices what a bunch of delusional words removed we are.
  16. Well, I wasn't pleased when I saw he was starting but he proved me wrong. He looked like a competent and value for money short term replacement for Benteke and John Cusack. Good for him.
  17. Is that suggesting we're going to spend our transfer budget filling out our squad again instead of buying a quality No. 10? Oh well.
  18. I googled this yesterday. IIRC Yakubu, Steven Taylor, Benayoun, Aurelio and Sidibe. Curtis Davies also did it.
  19. Lion Na Bernai and Prince De Beauchene.
  20. I'm getting a bit of deja vu here according to whoscored he averages 2.5 tackles per game which puts him above the likes of Jones, Evra, Clyne, Coleman, Walker, Naughton and Ivanovic. He has had a lot more defending to do than those players though, as they play in better teams. Well that's funny because Flanagan, Azpilicueta, Zabaleta, Baines and Debuchy are all above him. Surely the same logic of playing in worse teams can't apply to them. Edit - In fact by my reckoning the only fullbacks from a lower placed team with higher tpg are Rangel and Moxey.

  22. I legitimately thought they already had gone bust. What possible advantage is there to Argos over shopping online? You can check stock and reserve online, and then pop down to the shop and pick it up. I've found it quite useful on occasion. That would make it like a big Amazon pickup which is a far better business model. It certainly beats having to go to the store and look through a catalogue and then check the stock. Maybe Wainy needs to get with the times, the old fogie.
