BJ's performance was the single most depressing thing I've ever seen in MMA. This is the same guy who used to run into the cage, completely wreck his opponent and just run straight back out again. Gordon and Lima might make some headway towards being top 15-20 in their respective divisions and Anderson might if he improves rapidly. I think Derrick Lewis only won because he was 40lbs heavier and landed a big shot though, his mentioning of Cain in his interview is admirable but pretty funny all the same.

As a neutral I like it when the attacking team wins. I was starting to worry we'd got 04 Greece all over again. I didn't think it was a penalty either. Call me old fashioned but a foul usually has more contact than socks brushing against each other.

I'd prefer we used him for the last season of his contract and let him leave for nothing next year rather than selling him and watching Lerner pocket the fee and ride off into the sunset leaving us being one injury from a Baker Senderos CB nightmare. Obviously giving him A NEW **** CONTRACT would be plan A though.

That lucky Weidman flukily jammed his way to a fortunately dominant 49-46 win over the best Machida we've ever seen. Typical. The NEXT guy will totally whoop him up without breaking sweat though, I'm sure of it... On the serious, post fight he admitted he came back to training too soon after his knee surgeries and he doesn't want to fight again until the NYE card. Hopefully that gives Vitor enough time to get his licence back. PS - Rousey's fight was exactly as competitive as expected.

It may fall short if we could shift those players but until we do I think it's a moot point. We won't just hand out more massive contracts just because we're already paying big wages to worse players. It isn't 2008. He is out of contract in the summer so it shouldn't be that difficult Best news I've heard all day.

I don't know exact figures but google sez Bent 65k Nzogbia 65k Given 55k Hutton 30k Delfouenso 10k Bowery 8k 233k Mvila 57k Capoue 20k Holtby 67 Dembele 76 Chalobah 30k 250k 233k is enough for 4 top quality players around the 50-80k mark I don't share your optimism that we can offload Bent, Given, Hutton, N'Zogbia and Fonz. N'Zogbia if he regains match fitness then yes and Bent would be snapped up if we lowered the asking price enough. The rest we'd be very lucky to give them away with the contracts they're on.

Do we have any scouts? I don't think so. Hence why we only sign well established household names for big fees like Bacuna, Sylla and Helenius.

I just want a No. 10. The scouts must have been searching for one and player spotting seems to be the main (only?) thing that is going well (IMO).

Entertaining post as always but I was a bit let down nobody got volleyed in the jaw. That said it's probably best not to make enemies of people with no jobs, they've got a lot of time to plot their revenge. Also the whole prison thing.

Ask Mourhino if he thinks Lambert beat him on tactics? Unless Lambert's tactics were to pay off the ref then I think I can guess what the answer would be? I wasn't aware Mourinho was the arbiter of who did or did not "beat him on tactics [sic]". Edit - At the risk of repeating myself I feel like I should also highlight the fact you've again missed the point. Showing any ability as a coach or tactician ≠ Beating Mourinho "on tactics".

He was on a huge salary in Bilbao. I didn't know that. All I can find is that he earned €2.5m a year (£40k a week) which isn't inconceivable.

I can't even begin to understand what kind of point you're making or what kind of point you think I'm making. You don't beat all three in one season with a squad you bought for £40m without "any ability as a coach or tactician". The number of points received for each league win are completely and utterly irrelevant.

This season has been disappointing but **** me, we've beaten Man City, Chelsea and Arsenal. He got a shit club like Norwich promoted from League 1.
