Nobody is complaining about our new playing style. Everyone is complaining that we dont have good enough players to stay up and with a few days left to replace them then we are panicking. Rightfully imho.

Sadly I agree. This squad goes down imho. Of course we could get lucky but it is not worth that risk. We do not like to hear it but go ask a neutral, pick any team you like, ask them what they think of us right now. Almost universally we are looked at as a squad of has beens, unknowns plus Bent who is a striker out of form. I like Lambert, I like what he is trying to do but yesterday was a blessing, it has shown us before the window closes just how desperate our need is to buy more players. We are fortunate to know before it is too late. Time to buy heavily.

The fans are well behind the team when they are on the pitch, they were today from the start, you could tell the fans wanted to help the lads on, but it is a two way thing. The fans tried, but got nothing back from the players. There are a lot of negatives to discuss right now after the first two matches, no point papering over the cracks. There hasn't exactly been any big signals to the fans that we are going to improve the squad considerably next week, something that is needed to help avoid what could be a disaster this season. Right now, the squad is just, well, shite basically. Correct. Everyone today was trying to get behind the team, its just after 3-0 down and no shots on goal it got a little hard cheering for winning a throw in or booing Everton players when they went down. We were outclassed by a stronger side. We played a bunch of kids all at once who would normally be in our reserve side or bedded in one at a time and we got the result you would expect. We have a week or so to sign several players. Otherwise, well its not going to be a fun season, AGAIN.

Agreed. Its also worth remembering Lambert LIKES to buy players from lower leagues who are hungry and want to prove themselves. So even given as much money as he wants I strongly doubt he would bring in many PL veterans. I am fine with this approach but until the team starts clicking it does mean that we are going to look very lightweight. Hopefully that perception will start to diminish after we thrash Everton 6-0.

I doubt Weimann is going anywhere. The lad has a great future here and seems just PL's kind of player. Agree , tired of all these "outs" sod the wage bill, where are the "ins"?

Benteke looks like a poor mans Darren Bent to me. Sorry to be so negative but (at least his youtube vantity vids) are all poachers efforts but with lots of space given to him. Compare that to some of the screamers you would see from a Bent, Gabby or even Weimann "best of" compilation and he doesnt come any where near as close http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AO1a3oA_xAw. we would be buying a work in progress to develop. Which is fine but I doubt he would hit the ground running.

This is great. I would far sooner lose this way than being battered like last season. I am VERY pleased with the style Lambert has us playing. I expect us to get sharper in the final third as we go through the season.

Massively. Because I am fickle but also Everton are a very good team. If we beat them and play well I will feel much more confident.

A tad, but I have faith. With Lambert and Bent openly talking about new players coming in I think there will be others.

Not really interested in our shopping targets going from from benched PL players or players from teams that got nearly relegated to players who actually did get relegated.
