    Great player. Never stops. When we dont have possession he is like having 1.5 of a player on the pitch. He really adds a lot to our team.

    Really glad to hear he looked better in the first half which I didnt see. My god he was terrible in the second absolutley awful positioning. Big & strong in the air though, so thats something.

    Nah. We will make Europe this season. That's the thing. Trying to be as objective as I can, I don't think we'll be far off. Honestly I have been changing my mind dramatically game to game. Exciting.

    Loved his work rate. He is like 1.5 player when getting back possession and putting on pressure. He refused to give Newcastle time to think. Unfortunately he is like 0.5 of a player when he is IN possession. Hope to see him play more, I think he will improve.

    Pardew is right, our work rate was phenomenal. fabulous to see. Once we start getting those passes in the final third down we will be motoring. Great performance.

    Well we are being brave! Exciting and terrifying! I cant make my mind up whether I am optimistic or pessimistic. Newcastle will help me decide!

    Honestly I dont know what to think. Well I wanted an exciting young manager molding a team the way he wants, thats what I got. Boy he has done it his way thats for damn sure. Well at least this season wont be boring!

    Rickie Lambert would be the anti Paul Lambert signing. I doubt it. If we want to spooge money on older players then I would sooner see De Jong here. Not gonna happen though.

    I dont feel disappointing at all. If he signs a couple more of these hungry young players before Friday I will be well chuffed (midfielder please). He has said repeatedly these are the kinds of player he WANTS to buy. For all we know he has a warchest of 15 million quid plus money from player sales if he wants it. We could end up in a relegation fight by january, or we could end up having a very exciting young side that looks capable of challenging for things in a season or two. I for one am happy to see the outcome. I was scared as hell after Everton but these signings and rumours make me very happy.

    Lambert wont change the kind of player he likes. Dont expect any "established"/"overpaid" PL players to come in. He will stick with looking for hungry players from lower / different leagues. I like that approach but I respect those who it worries.

    Well I wouldnt blame him. But maybe it wouldnt be so clear cut. Given their wage structure he might actually have to agree to a wage cut. Anyway I have no ITK I was just speculating.

    I often agree with you, I agree strongly about the need for our new style of football and how Houiller was on the right track as well. But a comfortable mid table finish with this squad? Sorry mate, it is not on the cards, I wish it was. We need strengthening this week.
