Well. Looking back at this time last season the people who were in the relegation zone either ended up getting relegated or were Wigan who were looking like certs to go down until the last few weeks. So I fear we are not going to shake our relegation battle any time soon, most likely it will be a long grueling season much worse than last year, when really we only started to worry about it for the last couple of months.

By the way, just a question, dont bite my head off. But did McLeish ever actually get us in the relegation zone? I know we flirted with it, but right now we are actually in it.

Lambert is not getting sacked. Lerner didnt sack McLeish when we were in free fall he sure as hell isnt going to sack Lambert.

I can cheer you up on that score. Many top players will sign for clubs near the bottom of the table just to play in the PL, look at QPR. Personally I like Lamberts transfer style but I cant deny our midfield remains incredibly lightweight.

The only positive is that after Arsenal we have a mini run of games where we could , on our best days, pick up 9 points. Which would be great.

No old timers for me thanks. I respect the desire to bring in experienced Premier League players but I have to admit Lamberts transfer policy has been very exciting for me so far, much more so than signing a few more well known names.

Still gutted over last week, I worry the lads will be as well. Would be SOO much better coming into this game with something off ManU. Oh well. Our semi B team beat their semi B team once this season, maybe we can do it again with the full teams? -
I dont blame you for this at all mate. Sometimes you need to turn away to stay sane. Doesnt make you any less of a supporter.

It sure would be nice if it became what we do. Thats all down to the manager. Hopefully Lambert can instill that in our players. To be fair we went to the final whistle but we have a long way before we have that "we can win this even 2 down" kind of determination.

I doubted him when we signed him, I dont now. Genuinely class player. Now lets build a team of his quality and push up. Great signing.

I give credit ti Lambert for getting his tactics right. I am still gutted though. Same old story. Honestly you just have to tip your head to SAF and the winning mental strength he has put into his team. I fooking wish we always had this sense of the inevitable that we would come back late in games. I sure hope one day we will.

Gutted. Absolutely gutted. We got nothing from this, just another kick in the teeth at home from those bastards. It hurts more because we could have won.

I really , really want us to get something out of this. Mainly because I am tired of being treated like a joke club by ManU fans and the media. This week it has reached new depths of being dismissive towards us. -

But you know that wont happen One of the most wonderful/infuriating things about Lambert is he takes all of his tactics and players and shakes them all up before each match. Its who he is I think.

I was impressed when he took on two defenders on the byline and got past them, deceptively skillfull for a man his size.

No he didnt. But tough. We lost a full back to a red card the other week. Lambert did the right thing to not take the risk once he was on a yellow.

Immense today. I didnt see a ball he missed in a 50/50 jump, good runs, good passes. Fooking ell, we may have a star on our hands.
