The Wigan game is the first one in ages I am just going to sit back and enjoy watching Villa play.

Less worried after the Chelsea game. Sounds stupid I know but that team looked confident and exciting. I think they will beat Wigan if they need to. Hopefully they wont need to though.

Ireland would tear up MLS. Would love to see him over here. Yeah he would lift the Sounders no doubt. Great ground and fans by the way, I had a blast when I visited last year for the Villa tour.

Terrible season. Just barely better than last because we actually played some vaguely ok football at times. We have got a long way to go to get back up to being a mid table side but the decline seems to have flattened. Whether we will actually start to improve next season remains to be seen. Lambert got 23.7 million net spend this season after inheriting a squad which was not cheap to assemble. I like the bloke but really being in another relegation scrap combined with one of our biggest defeats ever was not a positive season. Hopefully next season will see us doing better.

I feel kinda bad for the lad. He has now been targeted 2 out of our last 3 games by opposing teams and not subtly either. ManU and Norwich were gleefully targeting him. Chelsea will do the same. We need to change it up somehow.

I think 40 will see us through. All the pressure is on Wigan right now. I think they are done. Hopefully we can play the last game against Wigan with our bench rather than our starters. Would be good to see Given & Bent get 90 minutes in the league.

We may not have the players to play for a draw but we sure as hell dont have the manager. The man is fully committed to the attack, I dont think he even knows how to shut up shop. Another reason to hope we are safe on the last day. Going into Wigan needing a draw for example would be fraught with peril. Lambert just doesnt think that way.

I don't see any reason why we shouldn't go into that game with the belief that we can win it. I can think of about £100million worth of reasons. Let's not get carried away. We've been playing well but Sunderland on Monday were truly terrible. Secret agent Cuellar helped us out massively, and then again today it could have very easily have been same old story from this season, go ahead only to crumble and concede. We can't keep a clean sheet. As long as Chelsea keep us out from scoring, which is more likely than the other way around, they will beat us. I don't fancy us outscoring Chelsea either, no matter how good our front three have been in recent weeks. Unfortunately I agree. We have been playing very well against teams around us (which to be fair is about half the league) but against a top six side like Chelsea its another story. Still we can hope we are up for it to avenge our 8-0 humiliation.

He has done well. I think we have to accept he doesnt give a toss about defending and values attitude and work rate higher than expereince and price tags. Assuming we stay up I think we will have another rollercoaster ride next season. genuinely doubt that Lamberts philosophy can get us constistently in the top half f the table, but I do think we will play some entertaining stuff.

I like the lad he is getting better. He had a bad game today no doubt, but he was targetted by Norwich from the off so he had to endure that for 90 minutes. I still think he is going to be a good player one day. Whether he is a left back or left sided midfielder I dont know but some of his touches, vision and passes are tidy.
