    I thought Ashley Williams set him up. Bent knocked it on first then WIlliams under pressure did his crazyness I think? But anyways they played well together I thought.

    You know its funny. Lambert keeps on talking about Bent & Benteke not playing well together which was true for Southampton. But they did and very well together for half the Swansea game of Bentekes debut. Bent even set him up for his goal. Seems weird we cant just keep him and have 4 high quality forwards competing for places.

    Alex McLeish never had a bad word to say about Villa or the fans and still doesnt. Obviously I prefer Lambert as a manager but McLeish was always respectful to us and the club. Unless you meant Houllier in which case, yeah you have a point

    Shopping list: Defenders: CB & a new wingback for rotation. Midfielders: Creative midfielder who can unlock a defence. We are shocking in attack if not on the counter. Attackers: Rotation option for Benteke. Bowery not there yet. Bonus points: Someone who can take a threatening free kick.

You "do the math" if you're American or Canadian. Although you could well be, in which case ignore me. Back on topic, maybe we spend a little more to build on what we've got. The oddities I can see happening are either that Lerner shows he's done and sells up, or even more bonkers, pulls out the North Stand redevelopment that never happened. I am English but lived in the USA for 20 years. My words get all confused

    I doubt he will play Sunday. Players who talk to the press are immediately dropped from the squad by Lambert for a while.
