Have we been signing wingers for a reason? To be fair the host had set the price, Lambert was just quick as a flash to say he would drive him there. he then went on to say no player is bigger than the club. It was a great interview btw. The audio is on the footballers football show podcast on itunes & elsewhere.

I'm not. If this Bannan discussion has entered the silly season I'm not the only one responsible. You are not. You like Bannan, nothing wrong with that. Fans are entitled to have favourite players. I like Joe Bennett. Nothing wrong with being in a minority. Bannan had some decent games last season. The stick he gets is just silly. That said he never had any great games either, so the praise given to him is also a bit silly.

Ignore it mate. It happens every season. To be fair they dont pick on our club, Spurs have to deal with the Bale to Madrid bollocks, we have to deal with the Benteke bollocks. It happens. I remember when we were sat in here dealing with rumours about Bent looking to move away a year or so ago (which terrified us) and there is the occasional Gabby to leave rumour started when he plays well. It is the nature of the beast.

Thing is, all footballers love pre season. If your not involved, then it sends a message. I thought they all hated pre season? The endless fitness routines and such? Full disclosure I have never been a professional footballer

Thats not right. Darren has served us well. Just because he doesnt fit in with Lamberts system there is no reason to shut the lad out* *unless there is something I dont know going on.

I think that is likely to have already happened. I didnt see Ireland, Bent or Given in the first day of training vid. Not exactly proof positive but you would have thought they would be there if they were still going to be part of the squad.
