Yeah, he was the complete footballer today and he didnt seem to be straining at all. Stunning. Yeah I know, only Crewe but still an amazing performance even if you ignore the goals he passed, tackled, tracked back, cycled positions with full backs and midfielders. My jaw was on the ground.

In the unlikely event that they do get injured, Helenius, Burke, Robinson and Bowery can all play there. I am pretty sure George has not actually been following our signings and does not know about Helenius or even Bowery.

I notice Chelsea , Man U and Liverpool show their games in full after they have been played( not live). I don't know if they pay more for the privilege but i would think villa maybe could show games in full on the website the following day if they have the same broadcast rights as those other clubs. Yup. It seems such a simple thing to do. They already waste their time editing it down. Just put the whole thing up. It is no coincidence those clubs also have growing foreign support. It is a huge hassle to try and watch Villa games in some countries. The club just reshowing our games like other clubs do would be a massive boost.

No not criticising on that, I know there is a rights issue. I think there is a 24 hour waiting period before they can put up PL games video.

They do not stream PL games, they rarely stream cup games more often it is audio. During the season they do show PL game highlights and do live audio commentary (usually with someone good like ken mcnaught or other ex players) and post match interviews, oh they also show in full Lamberts press conferences which is probably the best thing they do. It is a shame because the thing could be so much better. A reliable service, show full games after instead of highlights and more football focused questions from Jack and it could be great. Sadly they dont really seem to care about improving things.

Rewatching some of our games last season (making my way through the AVTV highlights. Dear GOD we need to get our defence better. Some games (like Swansea away) we were just pummeled, Clark needs to be bedded in slowly if he is to come in.

I agree he doesn't deserve a new deal - yet. Hope he earns himself one this season. I was only pointing out that he's done about as well as Clark, who did somehow manage to get himself a new deal. I guess my real question isn't "Why didn't Bennett get a new deal?" but rather "Why did Clark get a new deal?" No idea on that one. Lambert made Clark captain and stuck with him through some pretty dark days. Clearly he sees something in him. I dont know what to be honest.

I think the thing here is everyone who likes him says they think he's got potential rather than he's actually a good player. I don't think he'll get a new contract until he actually becomes a good player, as presumably he's already got at least two years more on his existing contract. Clark is pretty poor, but I think everyone else who was given a contract warranted it and tbh I think it's good that Lambert isn't just handing them out like candy. As a Bennett supporter I agree with this. I think he will come good, I dont think he has. Therefore does not yet deserve a new deal.

They put it up today. Clarkes clanger is there (just). of course they have wasted time editing down the match for a few minutes highlights when what I actually want is just the full match. So annoying. The comparison with last season is staggering, during the USA tour we had MLS clubs who streamed the games live and had the whole thing available to watch immediately afterwards as well.

You know their job off season is really simple - let us see the friendly games. They do not. Either live or afterwards show the full game. Pretty poor service. For many overseas Villa fans this is the season ticket. Frankly it diminishes the club. I wish Randy had to follow Villa via AVTV I would expect it to get fixed very quickly. Woodward update. That West Ham game was curious. I thought we played very well and yet Lambert seemed to discard the idea of possession play almost immediately afterwards. Still not sure why, I mean we only just lost.

Order them online from the club I would suggest picking them up the day before if possible, that way you can see the ground empty and figure out where you will be going. If you are bringing your lad may I suggest Trinity instead? C3/C2? Its a lot more kid friendly than the holte end where people tend to stand a lot also you can walk down next to the dug out to see Lambo & crew up close. On that side you can hear the holt end very well too so you get the atmosphere. truth is though there are few bad seats at Villa park you cant really go wrong.
