not enough exposure ..when do you ever see highlights of the cleaning staff sweeping the terraces on MOTD :-) ...best to stick to during the match when any protest can be picked up

well without being harsh the last protest wasa bit lame and ineffective as most peopel didn't join in , and your ptotest befoer the match was mainly 14 year old kids who thought it would be cool to be rebels ..

best way is to pick a live match so it has full exposure .... (all match of the day did at the last protest was not show it )

then ensure that as Many people as possible dont take their seats before kick off ...then 10 mins or so into the game get people to start taking their seats complete with llots of noise , Ellis Out ,£ sign or what not signs ..then the TV cameras WILL notice it and you have your publicity

if you could get 10,000 people to stay away from their seats for KO then that would be something AND you sure would get noticed ....

more facts than lies though ... over the end of the season he took charge and the beginning of the next season i think he lost about 2 games out of 30 ..DOL did a similar thing last season and until recently had a very good "loss "ratio ..turning GT's pile of Pooh into a top 6 finish didn't get DOL a trophy so that makes DOL a failure in your eyes as well ?

sure you can't compare eras with football , but do you think RS could win the championship with 14 players now ..how does our championship winning side compare with Arsenals unbeaten side last season for example ??

1st BFR ..last time we played proper football

2nd BL introduced the 5-3-2 system that seems to have been our decline for many years ..but over achieved with what he had ..until he lost the plot

3rd JG think people under rate him ..his "loss"record under villa is comparable to Ron Suanders , and this was in an era where Man U & Arsenal were dominating football ... was tempted to give him first for the Timewarp comments , not to mention the Dorothy perkins joke aimed at Bosnich

4th DOL - football has been good at times , put the bad games are far outweighing the good ones ... trying to prove he's not a cheque book mangager but is now starting to find out that GT really did destroy our club and is in urgent need of some money.. this is season 2 , lets judge him at season 4 as he should have made his mark on the club by then

5th GT - saviour first time around ..but the destroyer the second time around ...tried too hard to distance himself from anything JG and destroyed the soul of the club ...and wasted 9m on players least we forget , in a time when some amazing talent could be brought for far far less

no -one , a deflection off Mellberg , and maybe delaney could have been tighter but in the conditions i think macken just got lucky with his badly controlled turn ..though nice shot to round it off

Ok , but what did Ian Wright do at international level , what did Ian Rush do in Italy , Mark Hughes hardly set Spain on fire as I recall ...they were good in the English league but not anywhere else , which kind of confirms my arguement ..

Cantona was good but if he joined the English league now do you think we would notice him against the likes of Henry & Nistelroy ? he was a unique talent at that time and maybe even inspired a lot of the players we now watch but I think yes the game has changed .. I don't think a team like Wimbledon can win the FA cup again , nor do I think that a team like Forest can come from nowhere and win the league ..anyone see a team other than Man U ,Chelsea or Arsenal (poss Liverpool) winning the championship in the next 10 years ?

met McGrath ..and all the team at the airport after the Ostrava game ..Platt stood out as being a true nice bloke and will for me always be the best player to wear a villa shirt, Ormondroyd was a top bloke off the pitch ,just a shame about on it ..and even a certain Doug Ellis took the time to talk to fnas and thank them for making the journey and supporting the team ..

but back to the debate ..McGrath was playing against weaker opposition with different fitness levels ...he wouldn't make the modern game with his weak knees & lack of training , simply because football is not the game it was when he was playing ..Henry or Fashanu ..Van Nistelroy or Ian Olny ..etc etc

true there are some donkeys in the premiership nowadays mostly playing for Blues :-) but even those donkeys would be equivilant of the best players from McGraths era

im sure it says in the Bible that God didn't drink ...maybe McGrath is the devil :-)

McGrath was good , but was also a pisshead who missed training and went awol from matches . Ollie is neither of those and for those reasons I judge him the better player

1. Liverpool - almost the same squad with a good partner for Hyppia now , a decent manager & 2 shit hot strikers ..Cisse & baros

2. man U - improved their back line .. will score goals for fun this season ..might even be champions

3. Arsenal - might loose Vierra , an injury to Henry and they are just an average team

4. Chelsea - too many new faces , all foreign , wait until the English winter and Boro away .. too many big stars to gel ..and I can't stand that arrogant clearing in the woods of a manager so I want them to fail ..having said that they like the others could win it , kezman looks a class act

5. Newcastle ... don't think they will get 5th but then no-one else has improved enough to really challenge them for the place the achieved last season ..expect Robson to be sacked after about 15 games and a late charge will see them secure 5th

6. anyone of the rest , except Norwich ,Palace , West brom & Blues

still think anywhere between 6th & 17TH , as it could have been last season and even the season before..... reckon 8th or 9th is about right

lets start with villa players so Vassel & a fit Allback (who is a proven goalscorer) for the first game , with Luke on the bench

he cant incorporate Lampard ,Scholes , gerrard and to an extent Beckahm in the same midfield

Scholes is over rated and has been in decline for some time ..so Beckham on the right , Gerrard & Lampard in the middle and maybe Barry on the left ..at least it's balanced
