ive always been one to be paranoid about connecting flights but i always get from out the plane to where i need to be in max 10 minutes. Ive flew to asia a few times now and never had any delay. I imagine the plane isnt going 100% its max speed and can make up time if needs be over such a long distance. i would 100% take indirect flights and not be worried by connecting flight times. Only time i would go direct is if i was rich enough to go business class
  7. Any business/economy recs? I really enjoyed both Enron and Inside job
  8. the point is you arnt supposed to interpret poll questions as anything but what the statement says. Drawing logical conclusions from them holds 0 weight. Not sure if you noticed, but human minds arnt the most logical things in the world and your logical deduction of a statement may not have the same step for those who are taking part in the poll. For instance: Western interests could mean going to war for oil. And fighting can be interpreted as political speech or sharing a fb picture about it. It could also mean the death of thousands of innocent people. Who knows? Basically poll questions are a bit naff unless the statement is pretty specific itself which this statement isnt And stefans post about the word "sympathetic"
  9. So you dont know what the poll statement is actually asking (given you asked if its about groups like ISIS) and then youre trying to make a logical deduction from the results? Wtf pls stop. The statement can be interpreted in many different ways. what youre doing wih poll data here is straight up wrong edit: i guess you said "if that is the case" hmm
  10. if people have held such views for quite a while its still going to take time for them to fully change it. I imagine its same with religion, you get shown a ton of evidence but you will always have that "but religion :(" in your head which you wont be able to fully let go of so quickly. Whilst it may seem an easy logical step to take quickly for us, who share them views currently, it wont be for others. The important thing is at least RV might be (it appears so?) challenging his previous thoughts which many people dont and just totally ignore the other side of the discussion.
  11. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/nov/16/g20-barack-obama-and-vladimir-putin-agree-to-syrian-led-transition theyve started i guess?
  12. Pretty good from a news presenter how you do yt vids on this site?
  13. At least Obama/Putin are agreeing on things and properly working together it seems. one for the history books maybe (bit funny an important meeting is being held in hotel lobby though)...

edit: You didnt ask for my opinion, and ofc feel free to skip it. but im going to give you it anyway. Imo, there are 3 places in thailand: 1. I saw you didnt have bkk on your list. This is a must imo. Just seeing how hectic it all is. The partying and just experiencing SEA capital city life. Some cool temples etc to see here (they get boring pretty quick but good the first time). And plenty of debauchery. Just experiencing the capital city is the main thing though imo 2. Chiang mai. Some beautiful views here. Most people go here for elephant rides and tiger seeing etc. Theres tons of activities to do here. I def recommend quadbiking up the mountains and coming back down through "jungle". Quite often people rent mopeds and just enjoy the views for themselves . More studenty vibe here aswell imo. If thai's could speak english i would move to CM so fast 3. A beach place. I see pattaya on there which has all the degenerate stuff there and a beach so i guess i would recommend that. Samui beaches were awesome and my 2nd favourite place in thailand (after CM). Phukets were good. Apart from the main strip, there isnt much to do and you can see all that in pattaya. Or the diving islands if you want to do that my 2c
  15. Depends, my parents read the daily fail and they always tell me about how the intelligence services has foiled X amount of attacks in the last god knows how long. And the source just says "top ranking official" (or something similar). So i guess maybe they would?
  16. This statement is wrong no? People are blaming the perpetrators who the refugees have been running away from. Its just that its very difficult to tell who is who so people believe its not worth the risk of letting refugees in if you let in some perpetrators. They arnt blaming the refugees. (maybe there is some 34IQ EDL members that are) Maybe im being too nitpicky and maybe i missed your point. But surely you should get the other sides argument right no?
  17. Whats the average time from thinking about an attack to an attack actually being carried out? Hypothetically, its important to know when you make this argument. If the standard time frame is usually 2 years then it makes your argument weak. If its 10 days, it makes your argument strong. (ill be surprised if its less than 5 months tbh, pure guess though). Ofc that question is impossible to answer but a very important figure. There could even be orders of top guys saying wait X amount of time before carrying out anything. Thats why imo, your argument is sucky and doesnt hold much weight. Still think the timeframe is far too short Edit: You should judge it on attacks succesful + attacks failed (which may or may not be more 0). Not just attacks succesfull
  18. like im with you with the whole pro-refugee thing but your argument kind of sucks. Its going to take quite a while to be able to move from A to B, get required capital needed to buy guns/bombs etc whilst not raising any kind of suspicion. And then to plan it all. And then theres potentially the attacks we dont hear about, or the ones who are suspicious as **** who havent carried out the attack yet.
  19. I imagine it was not easy at all. UK security appear to be getting a lot of praise at how good they are at stopping attacks in the UK. i imagine they didnt just not bother with this threat
  20. Hopefully all this " you never see muslims speak out about this"/"why dont muslims condem this" line of thinking comes to an end now. ( i know you said marches, but i feel its pretty similar). It happens a lot but just isnt often on skysnews/bbc/dailyfail http://www.dutchnews.nl/news/archives/2015/11/time-is-right-to-wipe-out-isis-says-rotterdams-muslim-mayor/
  21. Discussion on the amount you limit immigration (whilst still allowing it to happen) is legit. RV comment and the original poster of the petition "ban all immigration" is not. Which is what people were disagreeing with/pointing out the obvious flaws...
  22. I imagine this is a quick way to get your family killed in a lot of places in middle east.
