whats the point though (VC first post)? They will only be able to seize it for 1 year as they will never be able to compete on netspend + wages whilst being in debt. (obv from a fan perspective you hope they would, although a lot of spurs fans are happy with the plan...but from a business POV its different). Ill be surprised (guesswork) if levy wants to invest when all thats going to happen next year is chelsea & co outspend them massively and itll be a struggle to maintain champs league position. tottenham are going to become Arsenal 2.0 for the next few years. "cheap" foreign buys and emphasis on youngsters whilst being a selling club until stadium debt is paid off. Just investing enough to maintain 6th - 4th

its weird, i thought sherwood got midfield pretty spot on in first season. Cleverly was the high presser (we miss him, his energy and amount of interceptions he did in first half under sherwood was very impressive) with delph supporting from slightly deeper. I think it was clear on the 3mids positions and it worked quite well. I dont know if he was trying to push westwood into cleverly role from last season (note Leicester game) but it made westwood look pretty amateurish. Veretout doesnt look like hes got the fitness and looks pretty slow/sluggish to do cleverly role and think everything else just crumbled. i actually think cleverly was vital for sherwood and more so than delph. sry.. OT

LVG being there to tick boxes doesnt mean the fans are "shocking" for moaning about how boring their football is when theyre paying money to watch. I actively go out of my way to not watch united play its that bad to watch which is shocking really given the position of the league theyre in.

If your team is spending hundreds of millions and fans are paying hundreds of £ to watch, you expect a little more than watching paint dry. LVG football is as boring as pulis. It is shocking. Sport is for entertainment. United fans have every right to complain about the awful football which is being shown to them. And whilst theyre watching this, their biggest rivals sign one of the most exciting managers in world football. i think its a bit unfair to say whether Depay is good enough for this level or not when you got a manager which is limiting freedom as much possible for keep ball and 5000000 triangles in midfield with no intensity,

Why do people always quote johnson when somebody drinks? its *likely* that longterm injuries which led to depression/health problems is what caused him to drink...He didn't decide to just waste his career through going out on the lash all the time And if we dont want players to go down "the johnson route" how about people stop overhyping youth players (Sherwood and fans themselves) to the point where if they dont live up to the crazy hype it might affect them negatively mentally?
