  1. Another cazorla? no. Has qualities similar...Yeh. not just two positions for those two players fwiw. Ramsey best form for arsenal over past year or two has been Wide right. And its been shown last season he couldnt play in midfield 2 so needs to be upgraded on in that specific position.. Wilshire is wilshire, shouldnt even name him contending for spots .
  2. apart from when cazorla got injured and they had nobody with DLP qualities which totally shifted arsenals games negatively for them... quite a few CM's have left. + injuries. It really was priority position to fullfill this summer. Along with others...
  3. About to sign xhaka for 30mil. Fixes one of their biggest problems of last season
  4. How people keep referring to this year LCFC whenever any kind of debate comes up as if its even replicable. Can we just go back to the norm please instead of constantly comparing to a huge anomaly. Bothering me more than it should tbh
  5. Why is italian league so corrupt compared to other leagues? Constantly hear stories about match fixing. supposed to be a fixed game between spezia v ascoli tonight. And investigation going on with red card vs napoli.
  6. so again....7 games at start of season is ok...but 7 winning games at end isnt? what thee.....Variance variance variance variance.... Fwiw there was *plenty* of games in first half of season where they deserved points
  7. so if a team over performs in first half of season and does shit in second half its ok (ill be amazed if you said no to the watford manager). But if a team over performs in second half of season its not ok because he did shit in first half and "they languished in 20th place for most of the season"? how do you know he cant hack it in prem finishing 14th in a newly promoted side? Seriously think theres a lot of people on this forum expecting WAY to much from a manager. Constantly seeing "X manager has managed quite a few clubs but he did shit at this one prem team so i dont want them" kind of logic...Like c'mon...Nearly every single candidate will be the same given theres a reason why theyre potentially managing a championship club and not a top team in prem. Unless you want somebody who hasnt managed much which is just as much of a risk
  8. Not one single thing in this post is related to what i said.
  9. Youre joking right? Finished first in championship. finished 14th in first season in the prem whilst getting unlucky in a bunch of fixures in first half of season. hardly a very shit job is it. Infact, its excellent. (in before LCFC being 1st in prem this year as if they should have done so well the year before...)
  10. 1. A young defender in a new team and new league making mistakes for a bottom half team with absolute dreadful defenders with him? Shocker 2. Ayew "didnt try" (pretty sure he did try. he just looked shit) for about first 7 games or whatever it was. Looked class above our players and the only one trying after that If any team is to sign ayew it should be everton imo. Think he would suit them
  11. totally off topic. What happened to the guy who was part of southampton takeover who was given credit for their rise + signing of poch + signings? Began with C. whats he doing nowadays?
  12. A manager did the exact same things as 3 of the best managers in the world would do to win champs league? Sign him up
  13. why bother with a manager when you can get terry/drogba/cech managing to copy mourinho tactics without him even being there...? These managers seem a waste of money if you ask me.
  14. dont really see how thats a criticism? I imagine most managers who would be available for a championship side would be awful managing one of the best teams in the world (especially one in transition). Possibly why theyre potentially managing a championship club? i dont get it
  15. not really that positive to say he signed a striker who was racking up scorepoints in ajax. He will have been on everyones radar (apart from whoever martin o'niel was managing) but not everyone, who isnt the top teams, got 22m to blow on a striker. Top teams will often prefer already proven strikers before spending (or from youth) And yes, the last line, they was able to secure most of first choice targets as they were overspending. Not that difficult Also wasnt the fee for torres heavily linked to the fee for carroll? ( i could be wrong in that)
  16. Just sign whichever manager is constantly up there in playoffs and promotions. Just ignore prem record if you ask me. Pointless (well its a slight bonus) but couple mil sacking a manager when we get promoted to sign a better one with all the tv money seems fine. If we was a club like burnley who still couldnt really afford to change managers then fine, try get a manager to build a "culture and style" within, but were not. We dont need to upgrade facilities or stadium etcetc so all (or a lot) promotion money can go towards managers + squad. Just worry about whos the best man for championship and think about prem experience + skill set when were there. If its Hughton then go for it
  17. probably first time im actually excited about watching england in tourny. Really hated all the previous sqauds. we will probably do shit as always but will be nice to see something different
  18. +1 Dier, wilshire, ali, kane are must starts for me. I guess rooney will start no matter what (which sucks) so probably just go diamond with vardy up top. Kane and vardy seem intelligent enough and got the legs to play diamond and split/get wide for lack of width. Fb's just look equal who ever you play. All are better than creswell so i dont see how its a criticism he didnt get called up? Cant take 5 fb's +1 to taking some other shitty cb instead of a midfielder especially when you got rooney. Did i just read a criticism of a midfielder not being able to head the ball? what
  19. pointless stat Double or quits on Arsenal finishing above Tottenham, starting off with a £1 your bet would currently be on £2,097,152
  20. probably more to do with your best two players of the season being out and your cb potentially regressing (who knows if just couple bad games or not atm) than "the last 20 mins crushed them" Pretty much been same for all top teams this year
  21. getting rid of someone on 300k p/w with 3/4 (?) years left on his contract will be close to impossible. Dont want him anywhere near first 11 for euros. +1 to lvg getting sack. Even if they finished top 4 and won cup should still be sacked. Not even that much of an achievement with all the money they spent
  22. 0 logic in that but ok. wouldnt i be wanting walcott in the team? and who gives a fk about if someone in your team plays in international? do people actually do that? you would prefer player X just because they played for aston villa over player Y even if theyre worse?
  23. First time in my life i would be routing for united. Just to shake some things up over past couple years. And for the greater good of united not becomming dominate in england as it means they will probably keep LVG. Just me who wants wilshire to walk into england first 11? No idea what it means for vardy position. Might have to shove him out wide which seems meh
