  1. Fat Sam would be perfect if we were relegated. If we stayed up? Nah....
  2. God help us if his here at the last game. He wouldn't come out alive if he dared to wave at the Liverpool fans in our own ground.
  3. There's a better chance Houllier getting us top 6 this season than Hiddink coming to us. The board wouldn't even have the guts to hire his dog.
  4. The managers (realistically) we should be aiming for are either Coyle, Moyes or Jol. I don't was us to go through that stupid time consuming procedure of finding the 'right' guy again. The RIGHT way is to pick a manager you think is capable and use all your power to get him.
  5. I don't see a big mess. I see a lot of ability in our squad, a squad that is easily good enough to be comfortably sitting the top 8. What we lack is someone who can organise them, most apparent defensively, and instil belief, motivate and inspire them to go out and give their all showing the heart of what's on our crest - a lion. There are a hell of a lot of managers in the premier league who would look at what Houllier has at his disposal with envy. It makes you wonder what Randy and co are playing at. Did you read the generals message? The generic response I expected. He says the club listens to the fans yet Houllier still remains spouting rubbish towards our club and not getting the right results. I honestly think the only way Houllier will go as if he walks. Our board is clueless and gutless. It's reflecting the whole club. We have no bloody bottle and there's no way we'll win the relegation fight with the white waving flag in charge.
  6. Why is it Moyes who has had to giveaway one of his best players has managed to shoot Everton up to 7th, yet Houllier is making Villa look like strong relegation candidates despite keeping all the best players and splashed out 30m? Awful, just awful. I can't believe some people on here actually defended him. Extremely poor judgement. It was obvious all the way back on the Liverpool game something wasn't right about him and now your fears are answered. Well done for being fickle.
  7. We need 3 points ffs. What's up with this mindset about 1 point? That's probably Houllier's way of negative thinking. Did McCarthy have that mindset against us? No he didn't. His team played us off the park and Wolves hasn't defeated us there since 1980. Our team should be capable of beating anyone with the right management, which we saw with our previous manager. If you think Houllier can't do that then why is he still our manager? Ask yourself that.
  8. I wouldn't mind McClaren. Just don't wanna see him attempt a brummie accent.
  9. I can't see Hughes dropping Fulham near the end of the season for us. Maybe when it ends, but I would rather us go with someone like Jol or Coyle.
  10. But would any of them come now ? Probably not until the end of the season. I think we are stuck with GH unless something happens by Monday. The main problem is will we be a PL team come the summer? thats why I think Randy will act. and KMAC will be put in charge. We can still land Moyes/Coyle in the summer - but only as a prem club - with results the way they are Randy is going to have to sack GH in the next few weeks anyway Why do I keep seeing posts like this? What evidence have you gathered that Lerner will sack him? He doesn't listen to us. If he had listened to us it would have been way back at the Sunderland game. He has no bottle to make a move like this. He would rather play it the easy way.
  11. The problem is we're at the stage where beggers can't be choosers. I think the best manager who would come RIGHT NOW would be Fat Sam. I don't think Jol etc. would want to come to us at this stage unless we survive at the end of the season. That's a big IF though.
  12. So who would you suggest? People that aren't Fat Sam. Oh, like Houllier who will take us places like the championship? I thought this thread was about the next Villa manager? I came in to say I really don't like the idea of Fat Sam and you keep on bringing up Houllier. Cos going from our current manager to Fat Sam isn't that much of a downhill slope. So I asked who would you suggest and then you got all funny about it. So does that mean you would take Curbs over him? OK then.
  13. So who would you suggest? People that aren't Fat Sam. Oh, like Houllier who will take us places like the championship?
  14. Neither should Houllier. But here he remains.
  15. Why does anyone think Van Gaal will come to us?
  16. As long as he is the manager I'll back him. MON had 4 years, GH has had 6-7 months and things going against him, angry fans too. But outside football, I'm quite mad. His brought it all on himself. A lot of fans were close to forgiving him from the Liverpool farce, even myself but after waving the white flag to Man City and saying we're not good enough to lick their boots (figure of speech), he doesn't rate us at all. And what has paid off? Two follow up defeats against Bolton and Wolves. And we knew this would happen. Us the fans who pay his wages. It's abysmal. I actually hate him now. I hope he gets forced out. There's still time to bring a manager in with two weeks breathing space again. But we have such an incompetent board as well as a manager that things will carry on downhill. He deserves no backing.
  17. I'm not the one who's still behind a manager who's actually worried about the relegation threat. That proves me to his gonna balls it up for us and you obviously show no concern over this if you continue to back him.
  18. "It looks like" doesn't necessarily mean that he is. The results have been poor. Weekend headaches. But this has been MOS'n squad and he had his way of doing things. Houllier has been some sort of "culture shock". And it takes time to change things. And you can't deny, we have had some "problems" this season and it has not all been Houllier related. GH hasn't had many injury free weeks. And trouble players haven't helped the situation. Today's performance was poor (I believe because I was watching bad quality streams) and it was a must win game, so I understand the frustration and I feel the same but I really think this is the time when the club, the manager and the players need the support from the fans, all fans. I still have faith in Houllier. If I'm mad? We know the answer sometime in May. No, we know the answer now. You are mad after having seen that no end product performance. Our strongest attack force couldn't do anything. He took albrighton off? Why on earth did he do that? Even the bench look stunned. Actually, I wouldn't call you mad. I think you must be ill or something for still having faith in Houllier when his shown no signs of improvement. It's like you're not worried of us going down.
  19. We won't get a short term appointment because the board has no bottle. If there was a time to get rid of him it was either the Liverpool farce or the Sunderland home defeat. We're now at this stage again and we've got 9 games left. Houllier won't even get sacked if he sends us down. He'll just walk while we've got Randy clueless on what to do next. The next Villa manager is sadly gonna be the inevitable Kev Mac for the Championship and that doesn't fill me with much hope for the future of Villa.
  20. Yes, do it. I wanted him out at the end of the season, but after that dross performance, there's no hope unless we act now.
  21. Liverpool and West Brom did the right thing when things didn't go their way so they sacked the managers. They're now getting results. Our board is surely the most bottleless people in exsitence if his not sacked by tommorow surely? This is a new low losing today. We're not gonna win another match with Houllier in charge. Arsenal and Liverpool are our last two matches. Can you see Houllier saying to our squad we're the better team? Hell, we would be lucky not to allow 3 goals in. Suarez and RVP will have a field day.
  22. Looks like Houllier's March record isn't any better than it was with MON. Resting players sure leads us to sucess.
  23. Pilchard, of course sacking Houllier would improve everything. LOOK AT WEST BROM FFS.
  24. We're soooo slow with no end product. There's nothing there. The board has **** us over. Hired a man who hasn't been a manager for 3 years with good reason and didn't have the bottle to sack him in the dark days of winter. I truely hope this hurts their pockets because that's not even 1% of the pain us fans are feeling right now.
