Downing wasn't even tapped up then cos KD didn't make a proper assessment until the season was over. Bent I wouldn't be surprised because they're lacking a serious clinical finisher and he'll provide it. Do people seriously think the board who have labelled us as one of the biggest selling clubs in the entire league won't hesitate of selling him? It's not like we're in the relegation zone like last year. And there's already TWO stories. I'll be **** shocked if he is here with us for the rest of the season.

Well I predicted Liverpool would be the club to buy Bent in Jan and what do you know he is 'injured' against Liverpool.

I fear RVP FC more than Suarez FC. It's definitely christmas come early for him where all he has to do is a simple trick and our pisshead defenders will no doubt bump heads with each other, trip themselves up and wave their arms like babies when his miles onside with a numerous amount of space to finish.

I expect him to get 3 points against Liverpool tommorow. Suarez being the exception they're a laughable team considering all the money they've spent. They're no where near the level when they trashed us 5-0 and we can normally beat them once per season now. Even Gary Mac managed it.... Honestly, if he parks the bus against that team then he deserves all the abuse he gets even if it finishes 0-0. They are now one of the worst clinical sides in the entire Premier League. There's nothing to fear.

The one time Hutton can be useful is in the Liverpool game. I expect him to sharpen his studs for this target:

There's still a couple of issues I had with AM today. 1. He doesn't bother taking off Petrov despite tiring out around 60th min. Once he loses energy we look out of shape and resort to playing deep/hoofing the ball more than we should. Bringing on Bannan for him would have made us still have an offensive unit. 2. He brings on Heskey for Bent when it could have been Delfouneso or Weimann. Heskey isn't going to get us any goals in a hurry and will normally give the ball straight to the opposition by falling over or his terrible first touch. Give one of the kids a shot and kill the game properly. We've been in situations before where we're 'hanging on' that could easily backfire such as the games at QPR and Sunderland. I was impressed with the first half despite the dodgy first 15 mins. AM should note we have good attacking players and realise a solid offense is the best defence. I don't wanna see us resorting back to our old ways against Liverpool.

Normally I would stick up for him (despite missing his sitters and being limited), but something really seemed off today. It was like his mind was elsewhere, the equalivent of his last spell at Sunderland. :| His whole attitude was very negative and didn't really try to step up a gear.

He was the worst player in the game today. He had about 3 clear cut chances and really made it difficult for us. If his mind is elsewhere then he should be sold. Regardless, no excuses for that performance.

Thank flip for that.... Brilliant first half. The best we've had under AM so far. Awful second half. Shocking Bent miss (no excuses) and then it was back to AM basics where it was hoof/sitting deep and then Heskey the saviour (ffs). Still, 3 points at the end of the day. I hope it's more positive from now on.

This is the kind of first team AM should have had from the start. Sure we may have picked up some defeats, but we sure as hell would win more. More like it please.
