  1. I kind of see where you're coming from. Obviously I want us to win but if we're going to just lie down and submit then what difference does a few goals make? At least the latter will get headlines and draw attention to the piss poor manager. Yeah I would like us to win or even draw. But if we're gonna lose I hope it's big because it would cause an uproar at Villa Park. At the moment, fans are just bored of it all and still remain rather indifferent we're losing top 6 teams by a marginal gap. But if it was a big gap, it would set the wheels into motion faster.
  2. If we're gonna lose in the same fashion against Arsenal I hope they'll thrash us. I'm not even kidding. The scorelines we got against Spurs, Man Utd and Liverpool have been extremely generous and doesn't reflect just how much of a bad job AM is doing. It wasn't because of our solid defence. It was because the opposition players weren't clinical enough. We've been extremely lucky not to lose by numerous amounts and it's giving AM alot of credit despite the defeats.
  3. Well if I'm not gonna laugh I'll cry. Anyway, the one thing AM seems to be rather decent at the moment is he can get results against the smaller teams. Apart from West Brom where we got a red card. But wait a second... The West Brom match was **** disgraceful regardless of the red card. We had a total of zero shots on target according to the BBC match report. I mean, how is that possible? Even with 10 men we should still be a match against West Brom. It's not like Herd was Milner and he didn't even get sent off until the 36th min. Zero shots on target at home against West Brom should be a sackable offence. And the others we drew against were mostly lucky on our part. Even Newcastle dominated us (13 shots on target, us 3 shots on target) and this was at home as well. I refuse to believe it's because of the kids in midfield considering they boss Man Utd (Albrighton and Bannan). It was the same rubbish defenders who let us down in that match. Our midfield talent is being wasted under this manager.
  4. Whoah, hang on a second. Are you actually suggesting that AM has the 'perfect experience' that he can keep a club up who tightens the belt in the Premier League? Really?
  5. I'm actually laughing right now thinking back. When the manager search began at June the threads were very active. I think overall there was at least 1000 pages. We were all over excited as well. Was it gonna be Ancelotti, Benitez, Moyes etc ? and when we was being linked with Hughes some of us frowned upon him because we were so deluded that we thought we was gonna get a top elite manager. Then about 2 weeks or so it turned out to be McLeish and everyone flipped out. How the **** did it go from Ancelotti to McLeish? So hilarious thinking back.
  6. Yeah, but at least you've gone through some of the best years at Villa as well. Me? I didn't start watching Villa unil '98 (I'm 22 now) and the best I've seen us do is a FA Cup/Carling Cup final. I've never seen us actually win a proper silverware. The fact is with AM and the board we won't see anything worthwhile under them. We may see relegation though so younger fans like myself will never see anything good at this club. Sucks really.
  7. How good is Paul Lambert by the way? I think it's fantastic how he has managed back to back promotions and is looking likely to finish in the top 10 through first half of the season. He has had very little to spend (if any) basically working on a much worse squad than us with a very strict restriction. Yet the football they play under him is a million times ahead under AM. He hasn't complained that much either and doesn't need any 'emergencies' players in January. Why on earth did the board ignore him? Oh that's right. 'Premier League Experience', so they think a man with 2 Premier League Relegations is a safer bet than a young upcoming manager with bags of potenial.
  8. 0-6 Van Persie (1) Van Persie (12) Gervinho (27) Van Persie (54) Dunne (og 90+1) Dunne (og 90+3)
  9. Yep indeed. AM has all the negatives of MON and Houllier, but none of their positives. And his negatives are worse than the former 2 managers. Throw in more negatives such as his league record and it's possibly the worst managerial appointment of all time.
  10. The sad thing is we haven't seen the worst of AM yet. This is his mediocrity stage. During the second half of the season is when his awfulness really begins. It's like the equalivent of MON, but on a larger scale. When the players become more tired and hungover is when AM will suffer against even the smaller teams. He has no Plan A to effectively beat them unless he is incredibly lucky.
  11. So we are now at a witch hunt? Don't forget your pointy hats and flaming torches, all standard accompaniments for a lynching. That people don't like the man's football is one thing (I don't), but why make things so personal? Why make it so personal? Because he is really a terrible manager who is a fraud at this level and he needs to hear it from us. Deserves all the stick he gets because he could be the cause of taking us down. I don't feel sorry for him either. He knew what was at stake when he came here, but still came for the money increase and the fact no one else was stupid enough to save his career in the Premier League. The board deserve the same treatment for being totally out of depth. I want the whole world to know they have no place in the English football game.
  12. Oh, you mean the same guy who invested so much to break into the top 4 so he can get his hands on the Champions League only for it to backfire and he now he's like, oh **** this, I want all my money back and what I'm gonna do is sell every single best player in this club without revinesting hardly any of it back. That's a good owner isn't he? A guy who gives you toys and then goes right, I want them back. Also, if he were to sell Villa, he could easily make a numerous of profit when he first bought it.
  13. He isn't good enough because he can't even do the basics. And a good player would be able to adapt to a different role, especially when it's in the same field. Even frigging Heskey is doing better than him and he is playing way out of position more so than he is. And he's **** shit!
  14. He is an imposter at this level. I don't want him at this club anymore.
  15. Well I think we'll lose all the 3 following games now. Arsenal and Chelsea we might as well not turn up, but here's a good one. Stoke away. Our record over there is so shit. Now throw in the fact they're even superior than they was and we've beame inferior. So we could lose 4 games on a trot. The next game will be Swansea at home and if we don't win that then **** hell, I expect the fans to really step up 6 gears. No soft boos this time and make sure to put a numerous amount of pressure on the board. Belittle them more so than ever and don't allow AM to walk away with any dignity.
  16. I regret buying the ticket for the Arsenal game. Waste of money. I mean, first off the football will be shit with a defeatist attitude. Secondly, Randy can't even be bothered to turn up despite having the luxury to attend there for free with several privileges he hasn't earnt in his life. And thirdly, why should I and others keep funding the board who won't put it towards the team, but instead will waste it due to their ill thought decisions. Not only that but it'll no doubt end in their own personal back pockets anyway. Nah, this can't go on. This will be the last time I'll spend any of my money until I see some improvements in all sections. Also, I'll tell you something else. How much you wanna bet the first thing our yank friend asked regarding the match yesterday was not the scoreline, but the attedence? The greedy son of a bitch will no doubt have a smile on his face regardless of the scoreline and the performance he didn't see.
  17. I don't see how they are shocking goals? It's the type of goals that players like Collins have given away so easily this season. It's not a shock at all to see us concede like that. I think we have conceded the most goals from corners this season. Probably last as well. AM has the power to fix it by addressing the issue and changing the defenders. He won't though because he would have done it by now and the fact he is desperate to keep Collins here (he wants to extend his contract for no logical reason) shows he is a farce at this club.. We'll see the same thing happen again and he'll no doubt say it was shocking again, again and again, while he still keeps the same rubbish defenders who can't defend setpieces.
  18. But they were shocking goals to concede. Complete lack of organisation in our defence at set pieces today. Warnock overall was terrible, and not for the first time in the last few weeks. We just look like such a bad team. McLeish is consistently playing our players out of position. Heskey is not an attacking midfielder. Bannan is not a right winger. Just terrible decisions. And after playing long-ball football all season long with a 20-goals-a-season striker, the first time we play some passing football it's when he's injured. We looked clueless passing in midfield - no movement, no desire. It would have been perfect if we were two goals up but we weren't. Our two criteria to getting a manager were: 1) one who will be happy spending no money, and 2) one with Premier League experience. I just think we need to lose that second one. I'd much rather get a younger, ambitious manager from the Championship or League 1, someone to come in and use the players we have now but give them some energy, and a desire to play attractive football. Swansea did it with Martinez, and that has carried on with Rodgers. We need a full transition, write off this season and start building again, but with a manager who has a bright future, not just someone with Premier League experience who can steady a sinking ship. Thing is though AM has said the same about how the defending has been 'shocking' and 'clown quality' for weeks. Yet he doesn't change a thing. He won't change the defenders and he won't change the tactics. Nothing has improved at all from last season and that's unacceptable considering he has had the pre season to address it under his expertise of 'tightening the defence', even though I don't believe that myth under him. I agree with your last paragraph though.
  19. Collins would get beaten in the air by an ant.
  20. I still think he has been tapped up by Liverpool regardless of what went on today. It's not the first time where he was pretending everything was nice at a club (ahem - Sunderland), while all that time it was us the board/Houllier who tapped him up. And his football attitude here is showing similarities to his last few weeks at Sunderland. Downing wasn't tapped up the time while he was still playing with us. I have no idea why that's being compared. Paul Faulkner was gonna offer him a new contract AFTER the season until Downing spoke to his agent who adviced him to hold out and it **** worked. Fact is Liverpool need a clinical finisher, Randy needs an endless amount of money, Bent wants better wages/service/ambition and AM obviously wants some forward to drop deep and hold the ball. I have no confidence he'll still remain here this window coming.
  21. Wow, he really is a prolific liar.
  22. I feel like I've wasted my money on the Arsenal game. Seems really pointless.
  23. This is where I see us and the other teams in new year: :|
  24. So when are we gonna step up a gear and chant at AM what we really think of him and his shit football? Why is he still getting a free pass? I mean apart from the boos which aren't loud or even that long when it's HT/FT, there's really nothing else. But Houllier on the other hand got alot more venom, despite being hit and miss. I've never seen any football forum against a manager so much. Yet it's not really reflecting on the pitch. Surely the time to do it is when we get off to a bad start against Arsenal which will no doubt happen. The next 2 games will be away and we will most likely lose them as well. If we try and humilate him at the Arsenal game, the media will catch on and the pressure will be massive on the board. Even a greater scale than Houllier because we was against McLeish from the start.
