  1. The performance was decent but extremely overrated by some on here. Sure, we had the ball alot, but we didn't exactly test the goalkeeper. But I can understand why some think it's the best thing ever when we've suddenly improved from the diabolical football we had to endure under AM for the psat few months. I think the reason we improved alot was because Collins wasn't in the team. But we're still making the same shitty mistakes. Giving away soft goals. The Clark one was terrible but that's what happens when he has his first PL game in a long time and he is against someone as fast as Walcott. The second goal was from another corner and it's becoming a sick joke now. Every team will take the oppertunity to win loads of corners against us and they'll eventually score with ease. Why hasn't AM fixed this yet? We have deep problems.... We're not scoring enough and gifting goals like it's christmas already. We're now heading towards a relegation battle and we have AM to take us out of it. Now we've got Wigan picking up points against the big teams where as we still remain useless. We have 4 defeats at home ALREADY that's the same amount as last season. Not good enough. Villa Park is too easy for the top 6 teams now.
  2. Surely this is McLeish's decision? I'm pretty sure he didn't say to them "Spend the whole game lumping it to Heskey" and then the players turn around and play a passing game. McLeish gave in to the pressure about his style and tried to change it. Well, when those players have been playing route one football all season, how likely is that a passing game is going to be perfect on a cold evening against a better side? Barcelona didn't become pass masters during one game. You need consistency for anything to get good. McLeish just doesn't seem to know what to do with the team. If he wants to do route one then fine, it's not pretty, but he's got to make it work, not just change it because we're having a moan. Exactly. If McLeish got them playing good passing football all the way back to Hong Kong instead of making them hoof first thing then passing the ball wouldn't be an alien concept to them. The players are so use to seeing the ball fly over their head it's now gonna be very hard to adapt to this style. I'm sure he'll revert back to hoof against Arsenal no doubt.
  3. Or a throwing. Can't believe we're still paying his wages.
  4. The board are liars as well. I still laugh to this day "just think what AM could do if he was backed". He hasn't been backed (well not properly anyway) and we know what he is capable of when he isn't backed. Smart move board. Makes perfect sense.
  5. Bad with the academy - Check Plays negative football - Check Hardly any support due to where he came from - Check Bad Premier League record - Check Isn't cheap (Compensation) - Check Doesn't back up what he says in the interview - Check Cannot fix the defence - Check Tactically naive with subs - Check Hardly any fight or passion - Check Too stubborn/scared to change players below form - Check Terrible in the transfer market - Check Oh good job AM, you're hired.
  6. We can prove that. In the Tottenham game he put out 6 defenders despite having a full squad to choose from. There was no injuries. We were 2-0 down near the start and no changes were made until the 60th odd min. He didn't even take off Hutton who kept being turned over by Bale. There has been similar instances against Man Utd and Liverpool as well. In the Man Utd game the wingers were playing fullback roles and the Liverpool game there was still times where we parked the bus defending the 2-0 despite the Liverpool finding it insanely easy to still take chances with hiting the woodwork twice etc.
  7. I won't have any sympathy for McLeish if it does happen. He couldn't resist the wage incrase and another stab at the Premier League so he has to face the consequences. He said it himself he has experienced it at Rangers so he knew what he was walking himself into. We can't just sit there bored out of our minds and go "booooooo" at HT/FT. We have to express our feelings that it's unacceptable that he is turning us into SHA. Actually, he can't even effectively turn us into them. It's beyond a nightmare. I honestly don't see what's wrong with fans telling him that he's doing a rubbish job. Maybe that would give him a wakeup call and make him try twice as hard because at the moment he seems to think matches like Liverpool were fine apart from the 'sloppy' set pieces near the first 15 mins. Did he even watch us play? We were **** awful throughout. We had about 2 chanes compared to their 10 where they alot more closer of scoring more goals. I'm sick of his attidude about the 'giants' like they're Barcelona and Real Madrid, parking the bus against the top 6 even when we're losing and getting bossed by nearly every single team where even promotion teams are finding it easy. If his luck runs out in the second half we're in deep trouble.
  8. Why did we let go NRC again? It was just so dumb. I know we have to cut the wage bill but we have no other players like him. No replacements whatsoever.
  9. Negative chants towards him all the way through when the second goal was scored. Loads of boos, banners etc. as well
  10. Hmm, I wonder if AM will face a similar atmosphere soon? I kind of feel sorry for Kean. He has only been a manager for a year. But still, don't blame the Blackburn fans.
  11. Indeed DeadlyDirk. The most embarassing thing is that when we was defending 2-0 the Liverpool players found it so easy to have so many shots on on target it was unreal. AM can't even park the bus correctly.
  12. Well you would expect him to say something like the performance wasn't good enough at all by our standards. The fact he is sugar coating it is embarassing. He doesn't seem to realise he's not managing SHA anymore. But yeah, the stuff he says mean **** all anyway. We've seen it time and time again it never reflects on the pitch.
  13. Yeah. We've spent over 80m and have nothing to show for it. Just massive debt on the club and nothing to be happy about under the current football.
  14. Tell me how the board are any worse than Venkys right now? Forget about the lack of spending for a second. I'll leave you to figure out the rest. How about Venkeys done anything to improve their club long term, unless having a decent training ground is making us shit? Ah thats why Randy has made improvements. He cannot afford anymore improvements now and doesn't like telling fans about it. Out you go mr owner we've had enough of you now, your terrible terrible appalling owner! What improvements? You mean a shiny new pub and new training facilities which no fan gives a shit about? He has put the club in serious debt and the squad we have now is no different than Ellis' last year. How is that an improvement exactly? Oh, and he hired AM. We're going downwards under his leadership or lack of it.
  15. The only white flag incident with Houllier was the FA Cup City game. What also gets me with AM is that Eastlands must be the hardest place to come to this season, yet he didn't actually surrender there. We gave it quite a good go in the first half, yet White Hart Lane, which is weaker, he just gave up. Where's the logic in that? And now he's doing it at home. That's unacceptable beyond levels.
  16. Tell me how the board are any worse than Venkys right now? Forget about the lack of spending for a second. I'll leave you to figure out the rest.
  17. We haven't been on the stock market for a long time. We are privately owned by Randy Lerner's company AFAIK This 4% thing must be a vanity purchase then. If it was a takeover then they could just buy Randy's 96% without informing anyone then purchase the other 4% whenever. Am I right? The remaining share holders would have to be told about any sale, if he owns 100% he doesnt have to tell anyone. Why else would you be bothered about a remaining 4% stake in the club? Maybe he just wants the 100% so he can increase his ego and say it's fully his where no one can do anything about it.
  18. The Arsenal game will be my last match this season. Actually, it'll be my last ever until AM **** off. And if McLeish is here next season oh boy the board are in for a surprise. If they think they'll see the same amount of ST sales they have another thing coming. I'm sure the majority of fans were willing to give him a chance beliveing he'll get us playing positive football seeing as he said it himself. But now they know what his about, the sales will plummet down big time. I mean, I recall only 29k actually attended the match against Liverpool, but they still included the ST holders. Just think what Randy's expression will be when no more than 25k turns up for a match. I'll be **** delighted because it'll hurt his pocket and may actually wake him up. But then again, all he is good at is pissing his dad's money up the wall so who knows?
  19. I think everyone should bring white flags tommorow and sing this: We want our money back, We want our money back, McLeish's football is lifeless, We want our money back. Or something like that.
  20. Now this interesting. It seems AM luck has finally ran out and we're starting to see injuries. But regardless, I don't have sympathy for him because when we played against Tottenham he had the whole squad to select from and he used 6 defenders without any attempt to change things.
  21. He'll most likely only manage 4 wins out 19 in the first half of the season. This is with one of the highest goalscorers in the Premier League. I just can't imagine how he would do without Bent. 6-8 wins maximum at the end of the season?
  22. I can see him selling the 'Villa Park' name in the near future. And we won't see any money used on the team.
  23. I see no reason why they won't thrash us. The goal difference is rather poor by Arsenal's standards.
