i'm in a fair few groups - a group of my friends, a work group, an old works group, a cousins group, a family group, a 'boys chat' group, a footy chat group, a gaming group, etc... a new message pops up on average probably every 30 seconds, and if i don't check my phone for an hour i can have 100's of messages from various groups. i have whatsapp on silent, so i don't get a buzz/beep each time i get a message, but i just check my phone every few minutes and catch up on the various messages that have been posted, and post my replies to each thread. Lighting the screen every few mins will be far more battery intensive than a single beep.

very strange. so i charged mine overnight last night - its now 1pm and i've sent/read whatsapp messages back and forth all morning (say around 400 messages), i've been on the internet 4-5 times, checked facebook, been in a couple of other apps, no calls & no texts though. its now at 80%. the afternoon will be the same usage, so by this evening it'll be at 60%. easily get another day's usage, so not point charging it overnight till the next night. Screenshot battery stats or it didn't happen.

The money saved on parking charges balances it out though. At no point should anyone be charged to park their car to go shopping, it makes no sense at all. People are actively trying to put money in the economy but local councils would rather people use the petrol to get out of the town's. I refuse to pay for parking in Haarlem as it's € 5 for a couple of hours, they can forget that as that is just not happening. I buy everything is of the internet now. In the town / village I live in there are 25 % empty shops. Lots of paid parking spaces to go around though :-) words removed. Similar issues in England. Gravesend Town Centre for example is £12 a day to park. Within 20mis drive both Bluewater and Lakeside. Where you can park all day for free. Which one of the 3 is the ghost town?

My s3 is currently 21 months old. I've had to buy a spare battery due to how bad the battery life has got. Can't wait to upgrade! My S3 is now 2 years old and the battery life is amazing. using it quite a lot for whatsapp (reading/writing around 1000 messages per day) and 5-10 times on internet per day, i use around 45% of the battery every 24 hours. so i charge it every two days by which time the battery is down to 5-10%. maybe i just got lucky! No chance thats the case.
