  1. CONFIRMED - Rangers appoint administrators. -10 points deduction.
  2. Does the appeal involve a trip to magistrates' court? If so, you'll get lumped for whatever fine they choose to impose, plus costs. If its just a "wasn't me guv" type of appeal be careful and tell the truth. As Chris Huhn will testify, perverting the course of justice carries a much larger sentence than speeding. Unless you've already got 9 points is it really worth the aggro?
  3. Was the 40 advertised within a red circle, or just on the yellow flashy boards? If the answer is the red circle, your chances are zero. Its a strict liability offence with incredibily limited scope for defence. Cough up the £60 take the points and move on. (Withing the prescribed speed limit) If it was the flashy yellow ones, they are advisory only. EDIT, oh and in the eyes of the magistrates and the police 22mph over the limit will be seen as excessive.
  4. Knowing what we know, that is almost inevitable wouldn't you say.
  5. Thats actually pretty accurate. In fact if anything to my shame, I was even less subtle.
  6. Yes. "Put the **** calculator away - we'll just split the bill, its much easier" followed by "shall I bring a pippett next time to measure wine consumption if its easier, we can then just split the bill by sips drunk?" At which point Mrs E told me to shut up.
  7. I'll unbaffle. You all drink roughly the same thing (from a cost point of view). You all drink at roughly the same speed. One person gets them in each time instead of everyone getting their own. It just makes sense. Everyone counting out their own pennies just seems like a hen party in a restaurant ("I only had the soup", "I didn't have a starter", "here's my £10.73p"). Indeed BOF. Mrs E and I went out for a meal with another couple about 3 years ago. We all had wine, we all had 3 courses all was well with the world. Until the bill arrived. The other woman takes from her handbag, a pocket calculator, and proceeds to tot up what she and her bloke had eaten/drank. SURELY you just divide the bill by 2? Am I wrong? Is it just me? We have never been out with them again. **** tossrags. I'd be so emmbarresed if someone i was out with tried to split the bill that way. Tight ****! It was just stupid. The waitress was pissing herself laughing.

  9. Indeed. Ironically it was those two words that got me into trouble.......
  10. Tony Robinson once told me to "**** Off, Just **** off you little prick" at a TUC Conference.
  11. Two options here... a) Say "BONUS" loudly to yourself, and then forget about it. Divide the £30 betweeen you and the number of friends who paid. Hand out the money equally so you all share the discount. Then all say "bonus" in a quieter voice. Then forget about it.
  12. Did that also happen on your Football Manager game? :winkold:

Depends on your choice of Mini. Get the Cooper S Works version and it will blow your mind....... Brilliant, brilliant little car.
  14. I'm approaching today game with the same morbid fascination of coming home to find my while family murdered. I know its going to upset me, I know its going to hurt, but I have to see it to believe it.
  15. It is however, one of the rare occasions that something shouted from the stands is 100% accurate.
  16. Its the same difference Trent. What are the players supposed to think listening to that? "It doesn't matter how shit I play because the boss will get the blame not me" Anything other than total support for both team and manager whilst at VP before, during and after the game is counter productive.
  17. In this case: Maintaining control over some islands far far away that just happen to be (so it appears) sat on top of a **** ton of oil.

Well then you have an extremely high spec Freelander. And the equivalent spec on an Evoque will be far superior. The highest cost Evoque is around £45k with the basic options for that Trim Level. Additional extras push it just over £50k, IIRC, so you've essentially built the highest spec Evoque possible I have and yes..... I did. Well a top of the range Freelander, with all the extras will cost around £40k, so a £10k difference isn't exactly ridiculous given the superiority of the Evoque (albeit a loss of practicality) We're doomed not to agree on that last point are we.....? £10k extra for an uglier less practical car? I'll pass.

 I've just built an Evoque with the same(ish) spec as my Freelander..... its £50k!
