  1. Ok well compared to what £140k gets you dahn sahf its a **** mansion. Like I said... its you're cash - if you both love it go for it. There is definate scope to improve it so you should be able to add value. I don't have any knowledge of the area so can't really comment but stand by what I said earlier in the thread, go for the worst house in the best area and you can't go far wrong.
  2. PM a link to the details? If you both really love the property then hey its your cash - but I can't see why resale value wouldn't be a concern. In terms of it being perfect location, is that perfect for you because of your specific circumstances? Because access to the Dog and Duck, with local kebab van parking outstide might not be everyone's cup of tea.
  3. Hodgson already lives in the West Midlands so he wont mind being based at St George's Park in Staffordshire. Redknapp lives on the South Coast so I doubt that he would wanna move to the Midlands - he has only ever managed Southern clubs and he turned down the Newcastle job because of geography. But it's a fair point. Surely the job of the England manager is to manage the senior team and the senior team only? Why? He only plays 12 games a year tops. Why pay him £2m to sit on his arse the rest of the time. I'm all for Hodgson because he will embrace a national coaching ethos and will work to make sure that new and soon to be coaches get the support they need to develop. Whats the point of having an England Coach because he won't be coaching the players. The managers job is to set the team up at short notice and make sure everyone knows what is required for the game - its management not coaching.

So youve read the full report Ricky? Not the editied highlights that you're news provider of choice chose to feed you?

    Murdoch Scum

A rather comfortable assumption wouldn't you think? Tom Watson's abject hatred for Murdoch has been pretty clear, perhaps the Labour/Lib Dem members have chosen to really put the boot in, rather than the Tories wuss out. Haven't read the report in full, nor seen all the evidence presented so can't comment - but yours may have been a hasty conclusion.
  6. Albert.... ah... his finest moment in the WWE to date was getting horribly destroyed by Lesnar in a wonderfully bodged F5. You Tube it. Its marvellous.

I remeber my one and goal for my primary school team... I'm shit but was drafted in as a Richard Dunne type to plug a hole at the back. Anyway.... I'd gone up for a corner, lurking just on the edge of the D, instead of charging into the box for the header, I waited the ball was cleared from the near post and I just swung my foot at it, only to bloody lash it in ala David Platt at the 1990 World Cup. That was my only game as representative for any serious team, afterwards I though why soil my record......
  8. Avoid. **** all resale value and you can't polish a turd. Its all.about location. Buy the worst house on the best street you can afford. You will only ever get your money back or improve it as you improve the house.
  9. But of course really short odds represent the bookmakers exposure to a certain bet, not the likelyhood that an event is to occur. All it will take is someone to chuck £500 on Lambert at 8s and the odds will tumble. Doesn't make it any more or less likely to happen.
  10. I think the bile aimed at Stan is pretty appauling to be honest - his personal life is exactly that. Personal, and makes no difference to the quality of his arguement. He was a talented player but massively under achieved for whatever reason. He has since gone on to a second successful career in the media. Having played the game he is well placed to comment on what impact booing from the stands and like has on players, regardless of who it is directed at and I can see where he is coming from. We appear to disagree of McLeish but to constantly refer to his past as a substitute for sensible well reasoned arguement with him is just childish.
  11. Woy has been appointed to run the project at Burton. The long term development of the game is what will benefit England and Woy is the man for that. 'Arry will probably do better at motivating the players but he isn't exactly a master tactitian either. I'm actually quite happy about this. He will be cheaper and has a better chance to make a long term difference to the way football played and coached in this country. We weren't going to win the Euro's or the WC anyway with where we are... so maybe we need to go back to go forward.
  12. No. Not even slightly. In fact I would just like to punch him. Repeatedly. Whilst holding a pair of pliers.
  13.   WHAT!?!? You dont like Keith Lemon??? He's the funniest bloke on TV, uber uber funny!!! No. Wiggy, no. Just no. Get out. A word removed of the highest order.
  14. its not ideal, greater chance of cot death. but sometimes it has to be done if baby won't sleep at all. be careful with duvet being able to cover the baby's face, or possibility of you rolling over onto baby. strat egically placed pillows can help stop rolling over issues. My daughter never slept in the Moses basket. If you've got room, try putting the cot next to your bed. Take the side off as well if you can.once the little.one gets into the swing of sleeping, you can put the side on the cot and then slowly move it away from the bed. It will take time. There is no "right" answer, do what you have to do to stay sane. If you think.about it, what other mammal has babies and then says..."right - you can kip in that other tree over there?" In terms of increasing chance.of cot death.... meh, this gets thrown around with kids.... increased risk of, more likely to. IMO noone ever puts a % on it. If the risk is a 0.5% increase, yes its "riskier" but you'd probably still do it.
  15. Wouldn't worry too much mate. They bounce. If she behaves strangely or seems out of sorts then to put your mind at rest you could....
  16. Poor analogy IMO. Gabby is like a dragster - quick and that's it. One trick. No end product, can't beat a man, can't cross. A 20 mins to go impact player at best. Without his pace he'd be less useful than Heskey. Fletcher has looked good in a terrible Wolves team, but is no way good enough for Villa.
  17. It's even more explicit in Australia. Even the regular TV commentators work the betting odds into their commentary of the game as events change. Loads of kids grow up watching their heros and knowing how and when to bet on them. TalkSPORT are very good at that too. No particular problem for me. Whether to have a flutter or not is totally down to individual choice. People who want to will, people who don't won't. I cant think of a single advert where I've specifically changed my behaviour as a result. For example.... our Sponsorship by Muller didn't result in an increased consumption of Fruit Corners.....
  18. hmmmm tough one. Willoughby is the more attractive by far. However, I imagine that she wouldn't be as much fun in the sack as Cotton. It depends whether you prefer sleeping with the prettier one or the one you would have more 'fun' with? Me.....I take 'fun' every time! Read the edited post for more information.....
  19. Willoughby vs Cotton? Willoughby destroys her with her epic chesticles. No contest. Skinny crack whore vs. Woman. EDIT: Fearne Cotton looks filthy because she is... but not in a good way. Holly has the wholesome girl next door, put would Postma you soon as look at you vibe. .......
  20.     Fearne is a disgrace! Fxd ur pst
  21. and to think that I respected you.
  22. REALLY!?!?!? What exactly is there to like....?
  23. All Championship games kick off at 12.30? What. The. ****. Why not 3pm?
