  1. If you're upgrading within the next month or so then the new nexus won't be on sale yet. Goes on sale in early December usually. So I'd say Galaxy S3 or HTC one X or S. All three are superb. I wouldn't touch the galaxy nexus as it's hardware is old now. Hardware wise is is inferior in every single way to the S3, Samsung the galaxy nexus is a modified galaxy S2. So your choices are with Samsung or HTC and the differences are as follows. The One X is nicer to hold and look at but has no removable sd card slot and the battery life is below average. The one s is a smaller screened version of the one X but has better batterylife due to its S4 processor. The S3 is the best phone on the market and that's why it's selling in the multi millions. Some people don't like the weight, and design or the plastic chassis. But aside from that the phone is faultless. Most on here are android veterans and love having the nexus phones because they get vanilla android and get the new updates a couple of months before everyone else. But since you've been on a Desire for two years I can't imagine you'll be too worried about timing of updates. My opinion on the matter is this, HTC and Samsung take Google Android and improve it by adding their own features and enhancements, so there is a little wait after each release of android before they layer their enhancements and release to their phones. If you want a single recommendation from me, and go get the Galaxy S3 it is simply the best phone you can by bar none, it has the best hardware and it has the most features and that's why you should get it. Truly stunning phone. Cheers Conor...... I like the HTC skin on my Desire but the battery life is scandalous and by all accounts they haven't sorted this for the One. The S3 looks lovely but I like to try and do something a bit different rather than plum for the thing every other bugger has. (and no - I have no interest in a Windows phone) I thought the Nexus could be fun but I will can't be arsed with rooting and custom roms etc. I just want a decent skin atop a quality piece of hardware........

Leeloo Minai Lekarariba-Laminai-Tchai Ekbat De Sebat? Which by some lucky coincidence translates as "Place where foreigners shag men with boobies"
  3. Perhaps Mrs Wiggy put everyones car keys in the wrong bowl?
  4. Sooo chaps. Upgrade time is speeding round the corner.... I'm currently on an HTC Desire (Froyo) and I want something new and fancy. Looking at S3 or Galaxy Nexus - any suggestions/advice as to where to go. Apple is an absolute no no since Mrs E's 4s is a hateful piece of crap.

    S2 better than S3?

To be fair Stevo I think they are all as guilty as each other. But any system that allows for patenting obvious stuff like colour/swipe to unlock on a touch screen etc is just stupid.

    S2 better than S3?

The fact that you can patent a **** colour is bullshit as well. Apple really are a disagreeable pack of words removed.
  7. Women always want what someone else has. They see it as a challenge. Fickle fillies! They're not fickle. They just don't want to **** you.

    S2 better than S3?

If that is indeed true - my hatred for that bunch of knobs has just significantly increased.
  9. A massacre is killing a whole bunch of people all in one go - often in cold blood. A serial killing is a smaller number of victims on each occasion over a longer period to time. back OT, the USA will continue to experience this type of event all the while they have the most ridiculously liberal access to assault weapons available with **** all restrictions. Right to own a hand gun.... to defend your self/property.... yep I can understand that. Right to own hunting weapons/shotguns.... yep I can see the arguements for that too Whats that sir, you need an assault rifle? No. I'm not having that.......

  11. Ahh Miguel, win the prologue, wear yellow. Repeat. To be fair to Indurain though, he was able to blast out of the front and win non TT stages as well in the mountains.
  12. Though Nibali and Evans had their tactics totally off today. The only real attacks came in the last 5k of the last climb of the day...... Wiggo has got this some totally sewn up now.
  13. Really? What the **** is an "attempted dribble" what a load of bollocks that is. Is there seriously some knob in the stands watching who "attempts a dribbily" and then writes down success rate, distance dribbled, number of players "beaten" or whatever. For **** sake.
  14. Yeah right, like you have the information to base an opinion like that. There is a reason why he is linked with the top clubs in the world you know. 13 games for Brazil and he has 39 league goals the last two seasons and he is not even a winger. He also topped the assist stats last season in Portugal. I'm not agreeing with either of you but a cautionary note on stats. In his last season at Wigan, CNZ came second only to Messi in the "number of dribbles" stats. Yup, that one ended well. There are lies, damn lies, and Opta stats.
  15. Yorkshire says Hi No - I'm sure it be more like "Fook off back t'South y'Jesseh."
  16. If thats the case, it throws his "I was posioned" arguement straight out of the window. Why would you take the time and effort to spike him or his sample with it, if its not a performance enhancer? If you were going to do it, you'd surely use something to utterly destroy his credibility? A strange one.... lets see what the B sample throws up.
  17. Somethings got to be close, or else it was just a case of it'll be harder to find a club for him if he's in USA. I think thats a very generous assessment. The subtext from the Lambert interview was pretty clear. "He's shite. I ain't picking him. He can leave for tuppence ha'penny and a packet of cheese and onion".
  18. I don't knock him for looking on football as a job and seeking alternatives away from the game. I don't think anything has "gone wrong" for millionaire footballer and racehorse owner Michael Owen, but his playing career was ruined by injuries. Simple as.
  19. Under McLeish I'd have said no. Under Lambert, assuming we will play wingers and with a bit of width I think this would be a great signing. Get the balls in the box for Vlaar and Carroll... sounds good.
  20. Thats not serious surely? Its **** disgusting. I know its a SHA shirt so wouldn't be great but nooooo?
  21. Well he's in the lead in the race above Whats the obsession with pace for CB's? Keown and Adams weren't exactly nippy where they? What you need is players who can read the game well, if CBs have put themselves in a position where they need pace, they haven't been doing their jobs very well IMO.
