  1. We;re going to agree here. He doesn't. Delph coud do the enforcement job... 3 players are needed. LB, Winger. Striker.
  2. No so. But the abuse Lerner gets on here is totally unjustified. We have one of the cheapest ST rates in the PL. We have world class training facilities We have an owner prepared to spend money on making the fans visit and experience to the ground far more pleasurable. We have an owner who has sunk at least £200m of his own money into the club. Yes Lerner has made mistakes - 2 managerial appoitnments for starters, letting certain managers go a bit overboard with the wage budget and the farcical involvement with "The General" but the abuse and ill feeling towards him is totally and utterly unjustified when set against everything he has done for the club. It is all to easy on the message board to chuck out nonsensical comments like without providing any explanation as to why you have come to that point of view. The next response I will recieve is that I am a "Randy Lover" (fnar fnar) and that I am blind to what is obviously going on because a free scarf and a bus trip have won me over. Nonsense. I just firmly believe that the current owner is a man of honour and integrity who on the whole has done his best for the club. One factor you've missed there lad. Our present squad is crap. You can't blame Lerner for that. The identification of players is the manager's responsibility. If Lerner chooses to sell over the manager's head that is Lerner's fault but surely no manager in post would tolerate that?

Oh ffs Eames you Randy Lover, have you been that easily blinded by a free scarf and .............oh wait a minute....... Well when you tie it over my eyes darling it does tend to block out the light......

  5. Problem with that is that would end up as a straight swap, Lerner would pocket the £10m. IT'S LERNER **** MONEY IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!!111!!1! Jesus this pisses me off. Lerner is the sole owner. It's all his, Villa Park, BMH, the players everything. It's his. He has poured millions into the club and posts like this just sound like ungrateful beating. Back on topic, £10m and Defoe for Bent? I'd take their arms off. We should be selling Bent. Contributes nothing to wider play and isn't prepared to put the shift in to make something for himself. Well said. Although I disagree about DB. When given the right kind of service he's a prolific scorer. They don't grow on trees. We should do what it takes to make sure he gets chances, and goals are guaranteed. Well said? So again you're someone who'd have no problems if we were relegated? No issues if ticket prices were doubled? Not bothered it we sold Bent and gabby and didn't make any money available for a new striker? He can do anything he wants because it's his club and you'd be happy would you? Lerner is losing money on the club and still hasn't raised the ticket prices. He can not be "pocketing" a penny until the club makes a profit, since he is the owner of the club. We all want a super-wealthy owner, but I'll settle for a fairly wealthy one who contributes his own money to the club. And while he is contributing his own money we owe him at least the respect of offering constructive criticism rather than abuse. Tbf if we don't sign anyone else this month I'll not be too impressed, but it's unlikely you'd have to say. Bearing in mind a season ticket at Arsenal buys you 3 at Villa, I would argue that an increase in ticket prices isn't unjustified.........

  7. The sausages sound nice...but really, just on their own?! We know you like a bit of sausage Wiggy..... but pleased you wouldn't take them on dry. Far better with some lu..ahem....ketchup.... eh?
  8. That's flattering to Wiggy.......cos my arse is huge! Can't have been Wiggy then. Years on the cancer sticks have taken their toll..........
  9. Sounds very much like you already have...... DAMN IT! Why did I bite?
  10. Which is a shame because the message of the OP was a good one. Lambert needs 2/3 SEASONS to sort us out, not 2/3 months. We won't do anything spectacular this season but we will stay in the league and the football, playing squad and mood will slowly improve. UTV.
  11. Put a ring on it. If you're writing that on a football forum.... marry it.
  12. I thought that was the name given to McLeish. But if you mean MON, you surely know that every thread ends up discussing him in the end. He's not out of everyone's hair yet. Jesus Christ Let it go. When somebody insults or criticizes MON they're not insulting you.No, but they are being extremely tedious and that is what really gets me, having to plough through all the silly anti-MON nonsense. I'm not expressing an opinion pro or anti Mon. I'm simply questioning why we are discussing him at all? He has not managed the club for 2 years now and is about as relevent to our current position as John Gregory or Dr. Joe. Shall we just consign his chapter (however you chose to feel about it) to the clubs history and move on?
  13. Why are we discussing "he who must not be named here?" Lambert is our manager. No point in comparing him to previous managers of the club. He's the man in the hotseat. Lets let him get on with it shall we? EDIT - Brain fail.
  14. I'm going to say - lets leave Lambert to sort it out for himself. 4-4-2 is perfectly fine is deployed properly.
  15. Be careful..... 2012 is the year it all changes. On 24th August SkyCig becomes self aware Now in English please.... It was a poor Terminator/Terminator 2 reference. I'm now going to weep in a corner.

  17. Guttierez at Newcastle has to be the worst with that Spiderman mask. Took him something like 2 seasons to finally score for them having had it shoved in his pants the whole time. He earned his **** salary the day he scored having to put that over his head.....
  18. Nah. You're just a miserable old rocket-polisher. Tbf it is the most reported form of religious fundamentalism - but mostly because we like watching news reports of people with tea-towels on their heads shooting at each other or blowing each other up. An interesting take on the subject of religious lunacy. Islam is c.1500 years old. Christianity c.2000. Christianity 500 years ago was arguing over heretics/witches and merrily burning/raping/pillaging across Europe. The Europeans eventually learnt to chill the **** out and only go to war over important issues like when Archie Duke ran over the Ostrich and got shot. Give Islam another half millenia and they'll figure it out eventually...... development and progress takes time. It only seems scarier beacuse they've got Medieval values with 21st century weapons.
  19. erm… go where? Islam? You've been reading too much press. What fecking western dress code, we don't have one, its called freedom Its called being respectful to another culture's sensibilities - do you drive on the wrong side of the rode because you don't agree with that law as well?
  20. Trouble is, thats a bit like signing an HP agreement for a Ferrari and hoping to pay it off using money from a lottery win. Risky strategy.
