  1. Im going to assume this was in context of the black guy conversation so maybe I have taken this too literally but..... Is he "cracking?"
  2. If he can't speak English I wonder if he did it in pictionary form... **** LOL!!!!!!!111!11!1
  3. Well, I guess we're all excited in our own way. Hahahahahaha
  4. Ahhhhhh.... **whispers to ME** God could you imagine being one of those poor desperate lonely saddo's needing advice?!
  5. On the Olsson to Villa for Warnock + £2.5m rumour......
  6. I fear good lady you have me confused with someone else....... :?
  7. We had a Gift List and managed to get everything on it with a couple of decent meals out as change......
  8. You rich, opulent bastard Eames. I have no idea what opulent means!?!? Its a word George Orwell used a lot.
  9. Yes, that's how averages tend to work Eames Sir. One guy spending 50K on a wedding is counterbalanced by a few other people spending 10K ish on theirs. Which is how it gets down/up to 16K :winkold: I'd have thought the general trend over the past few years would be downwards though ... EDIT: I do wonder whether that average is a Mean or a Median. My guess would be it's a mean average, which as Eames suggests, would be higher than a Median, in all probability, in this case. Thats sort of what I was getting at Jon, but the GCSE maths knowledge has long since deserted me.....
  10. Having comortably spent over the average I can assure you its very easily done. The other thing to think about is the "average" is probably a lot lower than 16k given that some knob only has to drop 50k to watch the "average" number skyrocket.
  11. I thought it was pretty funny Ingram. Don't worry.
  12. Without wishing to get into a party political arguement with you, the statistics in that report are ropey at best. For instance, the "average" UK household debt figure is skewed massively by the fact that the average debt in London (of Aviva customers) is apparently £33k. When you consider that the next highest region is the northwest (£15k) but most are generally between 5-8k you can see that the average is highly misleading. This is just one example without really reading the report in any great detail.... It also says quite clearly that the drop in income/increase in debt could be attributed to the school holidays, since a similar fall happened at the same time last year.
  13. Well, I'm crushed. Sorry. I can squeeze more gently next time.......
  14. But nothing they will EVER produce will come close to what FF7 was/is. If anything, they get a little bit worse with ever installment. I played the latest one FFXII-2, for about 5 hours and just thought it was crap. They already created something that exceeded what FFVII was/is. It's called Final Fantasy IX. gethtefuckout.gif.
  15. Ten days left then PF I've asked it before and no one answered, so I'll ask it again. Why would Paul Lambert, a successful, young ambitious manager that would've had to nouse and confidence to realise that he could've gotten his pay rise from a number of clubs willing to take him on, and had a very secure position at Norwich, come to Aston Villa just to inherit a poor squad and be given no money to spend? Seriously, what would make a chap like Paul Lambert, who's stock was very high at Norwich, come to Villa? Wider choice of lapdancing establishments?

  17. And yet the club is now performing no different to Doug's last season, has alienated a number of fans through lies to the fanbase, operating a sell to buy policy and little hope of actually managing to be anywhere near 'successful' in the near future. So the only difference is that we're now losing £50million a season. He needs to sell up. I suspect if he did sell up there would be a much greater chance we'd end up with an owner like the Venkey's/Carson Young/Hicks & Gellet/Thaksin Shinawatra/Eggert Magnússon /Malagar's fake sheik/Notts County, Portsmouth or Aberdeen's dodgy chancers than the remote chance of a new oil baron coming in. Or perhaps, and I suspect most likely, we may end up with somebody in the middle of the two extremes that you have come up with there. Nobody is asking for massive investment on world stars. We just want to compete. We haven't done that in the previous two seasons and despite a 'promise' that "lessons had been learnt" it looks like we won't this season, either. By his own admission, if he said if he couldn't do it he'd sell up. Well, perhaps instead of taking us down, he should stick to his word. Has he taken us down? :?
  18. The crux of the arguement stanthemanisgod is: Spend money GOOD No spend BAD. The, you know, economics of a business and all that don't matter. Spend spend spend spend spend is all thats needed.......
  19. When you sell your best players and your net spend for years is in the negative numbers it would be one amazing manager who ends up with a good squad after that. But yeah nothing to do with Lerner. When I have I ever said it is Those "best players" Barry/Milner/Young and Downing all wanted to leave. They all went to bigger clubs prepared to pay more money than we could. So they were sold - turning profits on all of them I hasten to add. Despite that the club has still lost £54m last season so ANY investment and talk of "net spend" needs to be set in that context. I hope to Paul McGrath you don't run your own business - if you do, I'll see you in Bankruptcy Court in the very near future.
