I'm 30 - and have seen us win a League Cup and thats about it. A couple of finals since but **** all really. You don't support Aston Villa for the glory though do you? Its all about the Horror and the Hope - you take the 8-0 drubbings at Chelsea because you know at some point next season, there will be a pissing horrible night (probably in Hull) where we will nick a last minute winner (probably off Richard Dunne's fat arse) and we will all go home (probably drunk) feeling like Champions of Europe. I'm not sure I'd have it any other way.

Exactly. Stephens from Charlton would be a good buy - but that is the level we are pitching at right now - the positive is that Bent aside, we could probably keep most of the squad together and make a decent stab at coming back up first time......

IMO we're are down regardless of what January brings. We have no confidence, we don't create, we don't score, we don't hold possession and we sure as hell can't defend. 2-3 players in during this window ain't going to change all of that. We need to start planning now for at least one season in the Championship.

I don't use any of the voice recognition stuff on my S3. Its way to inaccurate and by the time I've lost my rag and shouted at it, I could have typed what I wanted anyway so tend to just do that.

If hairy hands is right and I've got every reason to believe that he is, Randy is off his rocker. Surely a £50m investment now (players and wages) which he then took back out over the club over the next 3 seasons plus interest, is a better idea than a relegation and parachute payments when you factor in the PL TV money going up dramatically next season. **** financial fair play. Europe ain't happening anytime soon anyway. Let's Stay in the division first.
