I'll credit your post with a better response than your attitude deserves..... I've seen nothing to convince me that it was "premeditated murder" which is what he is charged with. Culpable Homicide? - probably thats my bet as to what he will ultimately get convicted of. The issue of belief is irrelevent. The prosecution have to prove it was "premeditated murder" at present there is plenty of reasonable doubt that would suggest it wasn't premeditated.

The last two pages here pretty much summarise why I have given up posting in this thread. Debate here is impossible with a great many posters using simple insults, "odious prick" being a favourite of several, with any sensible, well argued responses dismissed with "aah but...... Labour" In a two party system it is impossible not to comapte the two parties to one another - for one side to say that such a comparison simply isn't vaild cheapens the whole arguement and in fact the whole point of the thread. The saddest thing for me is that a great many of you are capable of well reasonsed sensible conversation, and whilst I may not share your policital views and allegences, I can at least respect a well constructed thoughtful arguement. Maybe I'm about to give them too much credit here - but there is a school of thought that this is a brilliant ploy by the SA authorities to get OP to hand over the defense arguements in a hearing that doesn't matter so they know which holes to plug come the full trial? The defence have had to launch all their big guns now to get bail.... have they kept any surprises back?
