    General Chat

Yeah but surely, somewhere around the park there'll be a CCTV cam with you on it. Walking into the park or walking out, the police'll send out a wanted poster and they'll get you one day. Possibly. I'll have to cover my face with something... Erm, I mean, theoretically. Obviously. Hmmm.... it would be a tricky one - you'd be better off leaving the knife at the scene - having a bloody knife at home may be a bit of a giveaway. You'd also have blood on your clothes and therefore the issue of disposal of them (black bag & bonfire?) . There is also a high likelyhood that when you got changed you'd have the trace evidence of blood on your skin which isn't as easy to get rid of as you might think. (blood under your finger nails) etc. If it was in a park you'd have trace evidence of your shoes linking you to the scene - shoe prints/transfer of materials etc. I'm onto you "Stabby Stevo"
  2. Not the right thing to do IMO. Finn on his home ground with the slope and the bounce he can generate is a far better prospect with the ball for me than Bresnan. I think that the frailty of the batting is the real reason for this decision rather than the effectiveness of the bowling.

    Pay by mobile

True. Big risk though. Only if you're a prat and make no effort/plan to pay the money back. Credit/debt is not "bad" as long as you manage it effectively and make provision to manage it. In dodgyknees situation I would be careful simply because if money is tight, adding the additional burden of the minimum repayment to the monthly bills will not make the situation better in the long term.
  4. It's Ricky Van Wolfswinkel, their new signing in the picture/ Ah, of course. Thanks. I'd forgotten about him. and of course "have a look at our new little Winkle" isn't quite as effective as a marketing trick.
  5. Hmmm can't work out whats causing the issue then? AVG says the phone is virus free?! at risk of sounding like a whining numpty..... the bottom half of the phone is very hot as well. not the battery... the phone itself. I've switched off and will let it cool down and see whats what.
  6. To be fair no I don't. Is there an established link between battery discharge and the weather? Only reason I ask is that my battery life has been appalling since the weather warmed up. I'm now getting less than 5 hours off charge on my s3. Wifi off, mobile data on, screen brightness turned down. It says 50% of the discharge is the screen but I've probably only used it for a total of 10 minutes all morning and its back on charge again.
  7. Yep. Agreed. Adebayor was ruined by his move to £ity and I really believe that should Benteke move it will ruin him as well. That said, I'm comfortable with that for £25m in Lambo's back pocket.
  8. I'm in. Feel the force of Substandard Liege.
  9. When is enough money enough? I've turned down pay increases because I've been happy in my current environment, but then again I have the luxury of earning what I consider to be a lot of money. Still only a fraction of what Benteke is on. I suppose it's all about how much you worship the green stuff - it'll never make you happier passed a certain point. In fact I often think I was happiest when I was poorer. Philosophically probably not but moving to a club with more ££ on offer carries a lot more prestige than we can offer. Its probably not about the money but about the status that comes with it
  10. I don't feel badly towards him.... If a rival company wants to treble my pay to do the same job in a more prestigious environment I'd be off like a rocket as well. I'm just a bit disappointed he hasn't given us another year and cemented his potential. At present he's an unproven one season wonder - if he is able to repeat the trick next season then he'll be "world class." Personally I think a his new club are in for a bit of a shock and that he'll be found out. I'd be amazed if he scores more than 19 goals next season.
  11. Swift Key - You're sacked. Hello google keyboard. The s3 has been badly lagging in recent days, FB app deleted, Swiftkey deleted - lets see if it improves. The battery has drained ridiculously quickly recently. Time for a new one.
  12. IIRC he can't do that until the final 2years of his deal. Bottom line is next season if we don't want him to leave, he ain't going anywhere.
  13. If this is the case OBE why not just announce it and start the move for another player? Or is the delay timed so we can negotiate for Benteke's replacement without having the piss taken out of us over price? Oh. I appear to have answered my own question. I don't think the negotiations between us and Spurs are finished, not by a long chalk. I think the negotiations between Benteke and Spurs are finished, I think they've gone ahead and done that. Would that be legal? IIRC no it most certainly is not. Spurs need express permission to embark on contract talks with our player and if that has not happened and an agreement made we should be complaining loudly and repeatedly to the FA. Any club doing this to Bale would have Spurs and their fans in utter uproar. It should be no different for us.

  15. You really need to explain this in much much more detail.........
  16. Absolutely bizarre. What are Coventry supposed to do? If they can't pay to play at the Ricoh and they can't play elsewhere....? Now this I won't stand for. Dick about with Cov to your hearts content but do NOT **** with the Cobblers.
  17. Not a clue, I keep lurching between glorious 8th and a depressing 17th. In fact.... I'm calling it now. We will finish between 8th and 17th.

    Top Gear

I agree but then I was more referring to the fact the Audi was £70k cheaper so more people can buy it than the £195k Ferrari. The Ferrari is clearly a bit flimsy.... I know it wasn't exactly real world conditions but still, it shouldn't have dissolved like that with a little bit of dust.

    Air Rifles

Lacing food with bicarbonate of soda is also a good one. Birds can't burp or fart...... gas builds up..... birdy goes pop.

Be extremely careful if you live in an urban area. I've seen The RSPCA successfully prosecute people taking potshots at pigeons and seagulls on animal cruelty charges.
  22. Pretty sure Craven Cottage (or part of it at least) is a listed building so I don't think a new owner will get away with bulldozing it for houses. Hope this works out well for them, a proper club in a lovely old ground with decent fans. Nothing to dislike about them at all.
