I'm surprised people are shocked by the timing. The only way Chelsea can play in the CL next season is to win it. They arent doing that with Potter. He was dead man walking anyway but they have to roll the dice now and hope someone can come in, work a miracle and win the CL. Their league form now is irrelevant. They wouldnt want the EL or Conference League even if they could find form and get it. All remaining PL games will be sacrificed to concentrate on the CL. Although that will likely end real quick against Real.
No, today was his 49th game for the club. If you're going to use stats, make sure you do your research.
Except in Turkey, for us and his last season in France. In other words, his stats have been poor for 4 seasons. I dont really care what he did before that. All that matters is what he's done and is doing for us.
First game back and all that but he was dreadful. Slow making decisions, indecisive and zero end product. Just another one of those nothing players we have in this squad.
He's had enough chances and time. One good game in 10. Even in games he does good things they are counterbalanced by the same terrible decision making, selfishness and over elaborate plays that we've seen time and time again.
He's been a massive flop and needs to go in the summer.
This was the worst time of the entire season to play Everton so to come away with a win and a clean sheet is a great result. Rode our luck at times but who cares quite frankly.
Incidentally, Dion Dublin scored in his first three PL games for Villa and also his last two for Coventry so technically he was a Villa player who scored in 5 consecutive PL games, just not all for the Villa
