    Every transfer is a gamble. Chelsea bought a certain proven goalscorer for double what we paid. How many goals has he got for a better side? We need a clinical, goalscorer and have done for years. Houllier signs a fantastic one, at the first available opportunity who has delivered and then some. There are several reasons to slag of Gerard but this signing was a utterly superb. Probably the best or certainly top 3 in my lifetime.
