  1. Fans that think that we are going to finish in the top 8 are going to be in for a big shock.

Teams like Leicester, Wolves,Watford are different gravy when it comes to attacking play and scoring.

We will now tomorrow where we are in terms of quality. But I still think attacking wise need more.

  2. Grealish will be used on the wing occasionally this season.

Against better opposition in away games I can see it being a midfield three of Nakamba, Douglas and McGinn.

Grealish and El Ghazi would interchange on both sides of the pitch.

  3. If he signs I honestly can see him starting alongside Mings against Spurs.

He is strong in his tackle, physically imposing, and he can score from set pieces.

He is decent on the ball too.

Another high potential player. If he has a good season he will be worth 30M.

  4. Tyrone is worth 20 million to us.

He understands the club, fans and knows the coaching staff.

The coaching staff feel that he is worth that amount.

    I’m happy with this.

  5. Personally I would be happy to see Sturridge at Villa but this is down to me being biased towards him.

A young lad from Hockley that’s achieved a lot to return to a local club in Aston Villa.

I will say though he is not the signing we need especially for the demand in wages.

    its a nothing story

  6. We will need to sign a wealth of players in time for pre season.

Interestingly enough we don’t know our actual transfer budget.

I would also add that signing a player for £15m could mean we make payments in yearly instalments which would not affect the transfer budget deeply.

  7. If Chelsea were willing to sell Abraham in January to Wolves then they are likely looking to sell this summer.

There are valid points above. We just need to purchase the right players to supplement him.

  8. A new villa is being built.. all before Pre Season.

    im excited.

The departing players have help rebuild this club.

Whelan, Jedinak, Elphick, Adomah & Hutton were honest professionals players. Something that we haven’t had for years.

They have left a legacy for the type of mentality that we want in our dressing room.

**** me, I really don't hope we have a mass cull of the senior players, Shipping out 6/8 players and bringing in another 6/8 will see us end up like Fulham, I like most should be given another 12 months to set the standard for new players coming in that might upset the dressing room.

    Soo would you keep him?

I think Whelan will get another year.

But Grealish, Chester, Mings & McGinn set the standard.

We also have a back room staff that is part of the culture here.

  10. Winning the playoff final has now created that culture and enhanced the togetherness of this squad. Something that we did not have in the dressing room for the past decade.

There is now a culture at Aston Villa football club. When the new players step foot on Bodymoor Heath players like Mcginn, Grealish and hopefully Mings will be reminding them that it is a privilege to play for this club.

Quality will help us during the relegation battle but more importantly our dressing room spirit will make us overcome the battle.

To maintain this continuity I think that it’s a must that we sign at least 3 of our loan signings.

This will help our new signings gel into our squad.
