Any game in which they fielded an ineligible player should have the score changed to a 3-0 defeat. That is the FIFA rule and I see no reason why it shouldn't be applied in this case.

I know I have a DVB card on a linux box running MythTV at home, it's just sky really have got the sky+ package right. The only think it lacks (for me) is network access to the content... If the Toppy software open source?

So which bit does the remote programming? I can set my sky+ by text message. I did like the warnings about the EPGs not being kept up to date. If it's like the freeview in this hotel, I can't see any program details for any itv or c4 channel tonight. Not quite the same :-)

You can get freeview boxes with hard drives for under a £100. Do exactly the same as a sky plus box apart from just with freeview channels. I know they have them in the Argos. But no series link and no remote programming.

I'd love to be able to consider an alternative to Sky, but Virgin can't be bothered to cable my town. However, I'd rather pay more and get the programmes that the money pays for. Watching Virgin whine because they don't want to pay is just funny. I also love Sky+
